Hello all you quitters. (no really, people quitting :)
I see high end gear selling for CE everywhere. Quitting, quitting, quitting everywhere, and folks so poor its hardly fair.
Point is, there a host of reasons many, many, MANY, (most) items are being splurged at market basement prices. Let me enlighten you fair folks, who have worked so hard to get what you have, why should not now part with it for paltry prices.
#1) diablo exodus (but they'll be back sooner than they/you think). This is it. The Y2L of SK!!! The day everyone quits (well week/weekend) everyone quits and heads over to diablo. We all know at least 5-10 knights here were just "playing until D3," right? So now is about the smallest consumer base you'll ever have to sell to. (demand)
#2) number 1 means that this is perhaps the largest amount of quitting sells to ever hit at once darn near, and one of the biggest glut of max uv'd gear sold at one time. With some truly epic pieces going for close to what a single max used to sell for. So, thusly, this is about the highest supply of great goods ever sold (highest supply) at the same time as we have the lowest demand! I don't think economics crosses over very well (when discussing CE prices), but the very general bare-bones certainly applies here.
#3) Max Uvs are at a low, as they have all be de-valued and debased so close to the UV locking station. But truth is, locked double, and triple rolls become a FFFF'ing crown sink like people just don't expect. Give it a month or so, and those prices would come back up to a better equilibrium. This is further compounded by the above two.
#4) CE prices are peaking. CE is in a bad way, atm. (not a ce rage thread, leave that to newbs in the general discussion) Us here are about making crownzilla's not vetching about them. Sooo. You are asking for CE at the time and place when CE is about as hard to come by as it can be. The market is as flooded as its ever been with max gear. The demanding player base is as small as its like to be.
So basically, everyone is turning in their life's work and cashing out at the very worst time i can remember seeing EVER. Wait a bit, be patient a bit, let prices find a better equilibrium, and grab 4-5k ce more per piece.
Just some friendly advice from Rommil, Inc.
You guys have been good to me round these parts, this bit of wisdom is the least i can do.
