Will I ever be able to use my Stagger Storm in PvE without killing all my teammates?

Does OOO ever plan on fixing stun? Like ever? It's a detrimental and suicidal status effect that causes enemies who are mid-attack to instantly finish(but they still finish their attack normally, making it double) and enemies who do attack under the influence of it, have attacks that in no way match the visuals which are massively desynced(this is less of a problem to me but is still troublesome). Most unpredictable of all is that the bomb randomly inflicts the status as enemies are in it meaning you can be doubly pounded at a moment's notice. Even the Callahan hitting Vanaduke means insta-mace of doom to someone in front of him. However when a player is afflicted with this status, it doesn't have these negative side effects at all. In the middle of an attack? We'll cancel that and make you stand in place for an hour to think about what you've done. Why doesn't it do that on enemies?

I didn't get this bomb so I could be stuck using it only for PvP, I got this bomb so I could have a beneficial status that makes it easier to deal with enemies... What I got was the ultimate troll bomb that I pull out when I'm irritated and need heat. Venom Veiler could meet my demands sure, but I want something that weakens the movement of the enemy like the Shivermist or Voltaic but doesn't have the drawback of being unable to shove the enemies around. Also, I got it a few sad months ago so I could pile the status onto enemies who are shocked or frozen but until they fix the way stun works, that won't be happening any time soon.

I'm starting to consider hitting F2 daily to remind OOO that their stun is bad, and that they should feel bad.

Fun fact: Stun

Fun fact: Stun double-hitting/instahitting works on players too, ive dropped an RSS while stunned in lockdown and 2 bombs got dropped down at once.

As for OOO fixing stun? Probably wont happen any time soon. Maybe its because fixing the desync between animations and the actual attack is difficult. In that case, why cant they just make it so entering or exiting stun causes enemies to flinch, as if they were hit by a finisher from a sword combo? Sure, it might make it a bit OP, but its still weak stun. Besides, stun doesnt even do damage on its own, so it would be on par with shivermist. PLUS, you need krogmo coins to get the haze bomb line, making it even more of a disappointment.

@Dukeplatypus Only if there is few enough enemies that they all spawn in it but also observe the fact that it can take a while to inflict as I've seen enemies spawn, turn, then double attack from stun. This is also not realistic in most situation other than on buttons.

@Shutupnerds Really? Never experienced that with player... would hate to do that do be hit by double combuster charge @_@ Even if they don't fix the animation desync for a while I don't mind as what is really troublesome is the attack which could be aided by flinching and considering how OP VT and SB can be, I doubt that would make SS too OP plus I feel cheated out of my krogmo coins. :P

If that's the case, I also wonder how a chargeable sword that self-inflicts stun to do two charges would work... Fang of Stun anyone?

Confirming the double attack

Confirming the double attack working with players as well; it can happen in PvE with Lumbers. Quite a few times when I don't pay attention a lumber can hit me mid DA charge, and I'll shoot six swords instead of 3. Idon'tdothatonpurposenopenopenope

That being said, SS has a lot of potential if they fix Stun. Unlike most other statuses, Stun won't interfere with other ailments, like Shock making it harder to reliably freeze enemies, Fire preventing Freeze, or in some cases Freeze canceling Fire.

Yup, Stun have been broken

Yup, Stun have been broken for long time, and OOO has given no word about it. Stun could be very handy at Vanaduke, as a cheap shivermist holding him in place for 5 seconds or slowing down his ride charges; but because its broken most of the time does more damage than good, if you apply the status at the wrong time (I usually wait when his mace just hit the floor).

Guess F2 is the way to go.

Also consider...

Most enemies Have some degree of stun resist, so in PvE the Stagger is a little under-powered even before the Glitch.

An example is lumbers, trojans, kats, and Vanaduke have to have multiple Hazes affecting them to be continually stunned and avoid the glitch. Vanaduke especially has to have constant, flawless max CTR stagger droops to not glitch... this would be FAR easier with multiple staggers, but I doubt many ould try because its not "optimal" =.=

And On vanaduck himself, Stun is almost perfect... He turns so slowly that He'll almost never keep up with you, and when you fire off that blitz, even if he DOES reach you, he wont be able to finish his attack before you can move again.
