Because:
1) It's the only way to view your learned recipes
2) You wouldn't have to leave to craft items
3) It'd be REALLY EASY to add...
Add an Alchemy Machine to the Hall Of Heroes.

1. I changed my recipes hotkey to 'O'.
Likewise Event Hub is 'Y', Social is 'U', Inventory is 'I', and Profile is 'P'.

When I buy a recipe from the hall of heroes, it's something I intend to craft immediately. Adding an alchemy machine would be a great way to improve the player experience for minimal effort.

Didn't realize you could change those hotkeys, I just mash my keyboard until the desired window pops up.
1. F5 brings up your recipes tab.
2. Walking over to an alchemy machine isn't that much of a stretch, there's one in every section of Haven, the ready rooms...
3. Yes, it would be.
