Ok so I am doing some arcade when a guy joins who of the end off the level calls me a noob. So I check his loadout and stuff he only wears 2 stars armor and 1 star shield and sword, and his prestige level is still soldier. So I just ignore it next level he complains I am a money stealer when every team member always get same amount off money So I am like *FACEPALM*. He keeps calling me noob so I just kicked him offcourse but rlly I get so mad at guys like him. I just wanna rage then :P

Coincidentally enough, just before the maintenence reboot not long ago, I was doing Roarmulus twins with these two people. We were at the level before the first munitions factory level. Guy 1 suggests we do a danger room (The things which are more difficult than your current stratum) we encounter. I say no because I forgot to put on my miracle hood and miracle cloak, guy 1 also has piercing gear on, and guy 2, well, not only does he have a jumble of different damage-type resistances, but he only has two-star and three-star gear. We move on, but he starts bragging about how he once did a tier 3 arena with no revives. Later, he dies in one of the first battles in roarmulus-twins. I make a comment about how mister I-can-do-t3-in-t2-gear-with-no-prob died. After guy 2 leaves and we get further in, he starts bragging about how awesome he is because he just defeated about six slimes. Luckily, the server restarted before I had to bear doing the boss-battle with him.
In my case, I was like *HEADDESK*.

Saying someone is a noob by * of armor make me mad. Some guy who just started the game can buy 40,000 and be considered legit. another could be playing for 3 months or so without buying CE, have 3 and 4* gear. Should the guy with 40,000 CE be able to call the other a noob? Of course not. The 3-4* guy most likely has more knowledge and strategy than the other guy. Therefore, armor and weapons do not describe a noob, it has to do with a direct relationship between knowledge and strategy.

I always check prestige
I always check prestige level. If I see a Vanguard, theyr not a n00b. If I see anything lower than Knight, they are a n00b, no matter the gear.

I am a beta player.... I just think that if they don't have high-ish prestige and they have bad gear, then they are most probably a n00b. The number of people you are referring to is extremely low as compared to the number of people that my system works with.

Being beta player or not, it has nothing to do with one's skill. And neither does the equipment or prestige he has. A player with nothing but a mere cobalt set could be much more skilled than a clumsy idiot with vanguard rank and with maximum everything on his equipment.

I concur. I dislike those who judge people solely on gear choice/star ranking/prestige. To each his own, but if you really do suck, there isn't much NOT to judge.

Let me tell you a story a friend on SK once told me. She wore her Proto costume and joined a random party. Mid-loading, she realized she was kicked.
Upon checking her chat history, the following conversation had occurred:
-Omg its a noob
-I HATE noobs and their stupid protogear
-kick
-stupid noobs
-kick the noob
-yeahyeah, gimme a sec
-WAIT GREY OWLITE SHIELD!
/kick
A few minutes later, she got a few tells from said people asking for assistance after dying.
TL;DR:

This is how I can tell if someone's a noob:
I decide to play around on my 0* alt and get it some better gear. So in a mission in the scarlet fortress I use my blaster to clear out some explosives, a teammate runs into the ensuing explosion and loses half a pip of health. I laugh to myself and my teammate says, "Hey!" Still laughing, I say ":3" thinking we can just laugh together. My teammate explodes and says "THATS IT YOUR OUT" I laugh to myself at how ridiculous this is and when he kicks me I just solo the rest of the way. The only thing I didn't like was losing the heat.
Later, I am doing a simple beast mission and a monster drops a mechaknight kit and I pick it up. My teammate begins to yell at me for stealing his loot and things.
Silly behavior like that defines a noob for me.
Some people might think it's harsh, but I would do the same. Life is too short to deal with people like that imo, a simple kick/go solo (in a run) or ignore (in haven) and carry on without giving it a second thought.
