Hello fellow knights,

With a new recruitment officer comes a new thread. You can still view some of our past recruiting here if you wish.

Founded in November 2011, Cloud Nine (C9), an active, skilled, fun-loving guild, and we're looking for some new members. If you're an active and mature player with a good attitude and a desire to improve, we're looking for you! We're all more than happy to share recipes, trade, provide backup in FSC/SLs, and just hang around and chill. In addition to helping fellow guildmates and basking in their presence, we also pride ourselves in our skilled members. As such, we prefer the following:

Tier 3
* Looking for active players -- we do have activity requirements, but we hope you'll be on and active because you want to be!
* Being a social player is preferred. You don't have to be a social butterfly, but just drop a line and say "Hi" once in a while.
* English speaking members only.
* We uphold a code of respect and honor toward our guildmates and others.
* You must go on a trial run with officers after the interview to assess your skill.

Tier 2 Players
* Not in the 3rd tier yet? Don't worry, we have a specially formulated member test to prove your worth. If you can successfully solo the Royal Jelly Palace without too many deaths, you will probably pass the member test. Mainly, we are looking for recruits with potential who can proudly wear the C9 guild tag.
* You are subject to a 1 week trial period where we will be watching your activity and conduct. No bad potatoes allowed!
* You must also follow the above Tier 3 requirements for language, activity, and conduct.

If you're an extremely active player with personality and looking to contribute to the Cloud Nine community, we may take that into consideration with regard to not meeting the skill requirements. As a closing note, all of our officers are currently located in the Americas and as such we will only mostly be active around 5-11PM PST-EST. If you are located elsewhere and you would like to join us, please indicate that in your application."

The weeks contest is.... ROCKET MADNESS!!!!

The rules are simple:

1) contest area is the rocket puppy room in FSC
2) you must have at least one guild member... dead... watching your every move
3) you must kill all of the skellies in the rocket puppy room using only rockets from the rocket puppy
4) you may not use vials or your weapon for anything other than breaking blocks or hitting the ghost block
5) only 3 pills are allowed

and the prizes aarrrreeee:
100 CE for every guild member who can do it before next week

I spent my undergrad at Moorcroft College, where I majored in Spiral Knights. My graduate work was at Emberlight University where I mastered in Shivermist Busting and got my doctorate in Gearing. I have my OOO certification in GW, RJP, IMF, FSC, UGW, UIMF, and UFSC.

5. Which time zone are you in and how often do you play?

EST, daily in the evening

6. Who in Cloud Nine do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us?

Electricmessiah told me about a wonderful new guild he was creating due to extreme lameness in my current guild, Timeless.

I am a very organized individual who is exceptional at multitasking and priority arrangement. I am upbeat and and passionate with my work, and my skills are matched by only Cloud Nine's finest. I swear on Old Spice's diamond-encrusted grave that I will lead Cloud Nine to excellence.

I've only been on SK a month, but have managed to solo up to 8-1 and have gotten all the gear with on my own (definitely not a begger). I enjoy the sword route all the way, but want to have an argent peacemaker on hand. I was looking to go the vog armor route to speed up the attacks of DA and GF, which are the weapons I'm working towards. Been working on a shadow armor set to help solo the 8-1 missions as I'm stuck on those, but CE prices have been ridiculously high.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (Do you play solo, or in a team? How well do you do against the bosses; played and Shadow Lairs before?):

I've mostly just solo'd everything, but do random PUGs when I want to breeze through JK runs for crowns. Haven't played shadow lairs but wouldn't mind too ... although those keys are pricey

5. Which time zone are you in, and how often do you play?

I'm in central time zone, and try to play every night for an hour or so.

6. Who in Cloud Nine do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us?

Flawedknight ... we just went through a round of JK duo and tore it to pieces!

7. Any other details about yourself personally IRL, why do you want to be in Cloud Nine, what you think you can bring (in terms of personality, skills, etc.) and any other final comments?

I'm likely an 'old' person for this game at 31, but I do have 2 kids and they take priority over anything. I've played 2 other MMOs, FFXI and FFXIV (can you tell which series I'm a fan of?) and got bored quick with FFXIV as that game is pretty terrible, but improving ... although my character is inactive for now. I'm an otherwise skilled player and have been a gamer all my life. I want to get to experience the content of this game with people that know what they're doing!

... Flawedknight wants another JK run, so I'm out for now :)

Looks like Lawlol is winning our tongue twisting forum bump contest so far. In this contest we give out 200CE to the 5 most interesting tongue twist-astic riddle-rific recruiting forum message (ok it's a little cheesy I admit). If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, leave an application, or you can run our weekly PVE and PVP contests too. Which usually look about like this:

LD contest 1
Event runs for 1 hour
person with the most damage wins
every cap counts for 1000 damage points
so 4000 damage and 10 caps == 14000 damage for that round
you must screen shot every screen at the end
crowns and energy will be scrutinized (so don't pull out your old best of LD pics and try to submit them )

time runs from 6 - 7 PM PST

please post your screen shots soon afterwards

prizes:
1000 CE + sealed sword with random UV for 1st

1. Character name and current/previous guild(s): My character name is Danisawesome (I prefer Dan, not Dani. It's Dan Is Awesome) My previous guilds were Ultimate Knights, I created it. Then Luminous Legends, but they were both bad. I joined over to Gunslinger Priests. Sure, they are all right but I need a great guild. With the events, LD, FSC, and SL here, I think it just might be it.

2. List your main default loadout(s): I have 2 weapons equipped always, they are either Warmaster Rocket Hammer, Dark Retribution, Divine Avenger, Silversix, or Nightblade. My shields vary from Volcanic Plate Shield to Crest Of Almire. I use the Vog Cub Set as my Armor and Helm.

3. Provide a brief explanation for your default loadout(s): I use Vog Set for Fire protection in FSC since I am pretty good at dodging and only need emergency fire protection. My weapons I use for different things, where they are good. WRH on FSC, DA on RT, DR on JK, SS on FSC, Nightblade on JK. My shields, I use them mainly for FSC; they're good there.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (Do you play solo, or in a team? How well do you do against the bosses; played and Shadow Lairs before?): I like to play with a team. If I accidentally die, I will have friends to revive me. It saves energy. I do great against bosses. I can solo T1 and T2, and do a Duo on FSC with not much revives.

5. Which time zone are you in, and how often do you play? I am Eastern Standard Time and try to fit in some play time after schoolwork and chores are done. I play about 2-4 hours on the weekdays and 4-6 on the weekends.

6. Who in Cloud Nine do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us? I do not know anyone in Cloud Nine, and I was guild hopping, or just trying to find a guild. I checked the forums and boom, it says "Cloud Nine, active T2 and T3 guild does SL, LD, etc." and knew it was right.

7. Any other details about yourself personally IRL, why do you want to be in Cloud Nine, what you think you can bring (in terms of personality, skills, etc.) and any other final comments? I am a busy guy who puts schoolwork and family on top of everything, sorry if I can not go on much, I hope you understand. I am working hard to get good grades and do chores. I want to be in C9 because I need a good, active, mature T3 guild that does FSC and SL, and maybe prizes. I think I can bring good personality to make the guild a better place, good skills to beat missions and bosses in the clockworks and LD, and kindness by helping other members with LD, Clockworks, crafting, etc. I will surely be a good asset and I know you will make me at least Veteran, and that I would make a great officer. When I got along well and have done so much, you might even consider me being GM. You can see me do runs and such, and how my personality is good, how I help, all those things.

Xpashax I'm in shield walkers at the moment but nobody there does anything so I would like to join yours.

1. Character name and current/previous guild(s): I am Supermetalmario and I have been in The Shadow Order, Advent Children, Guild of Hyppos, Spiral Spirits, Spiral Peace Keepers, Origin End, The Rebellious, Wolfpack Party, Hybrid Wolves, and Volcanic Overloads.

2. List your main default loadout(s): I wear the Arcane Salamander Suit and Mask, I use Aegis, Acheron, Silversix, and an Avenger/Strike Needle and I have a costume that's the Emberbreak Armor.

3. Provide a brief explanation for your default loadout(s): I use Arcane because it looks cool, Aegis because the recipes were free, and my weapons for a mix of all three weapon types. I just think the costume looks cool.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (Do you play solo, or in a team? How well do you do against the bosses; played and Shadow Lairs before?): I play solo in Tier 1 and Upper 2. I play in a team of at least 2 people or more usually in case I die. I do very well agaisnt Royal Jelly (soloed) and Snarby (also soloed) and I'm getting good at Vanaduke. I don't usually do Roarmulus Twins (laggy) though. I have done Rabid Snarbolax and Ice Queen in terms of Shadow Lairs and I am going to do another Shadow Lair soon.

5. Which time zone are you in, and how often do you play? I am in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) time zone and I play almost every day for around 2-3 hours.

I found out about you from this lovely little forum page. You know the one you're on right now. I have also seen your members in Haven before I think.

I am a goofball and it carries over into the realm of Spiral Knights. I CAN be serious but chances are I won't unless its a Shadow Lair or a boss fight. I think I can bring a fun into the guild so that each member can enjoy the guild.

My character name is Theonebackthere and I'm currently in no guild(that's why I want to join this guild) some of my previous guilds include Spiral Peace Keepers, Wolfpack Party, Jedi Master, Spiral Spirits, The Rebellious, and The Shadow Order.

2. List your main default loadout(s):
My main set is Vog Cub, Crest of Almire, Divine Avenger, Acheron, Silversix, Blitz Needle CTR VH(which I'm going to sell), 2x Heart Pendants, and a Brute Jelly costume.

3. Provide a brief explanation for your default loadout(s):
I use this loadout because it covers all the monster families and gives my swords ASI VH as well as being optimal for FSC.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (Do you play solo, or in a team? How well do you do against the bosses; played and Shadow Lairs before?):
I usually solo most of the time except for fiends and Vanaduke. I can solo Snarbolax and Jelly King, I don't usually do the Roarmulus Twins because they're laggy, and I haven't attempted a solo run against Vanaduke but I do very well against him. I've never done a Shadow Lair before but I'm planning on trying Rabid Snarbolax once I get a Skolver set.

5. Which time zone are you in, and how often do you play?
I'm in the eastern timezone(-5). I'm on daily. On weekdays I usually play at around 4:30pm for 2-3 hours and on weekends I play whenever I get up which is usually at 2:00pm and I play for about 2-5 hours.

6. Who in Cloud Nine do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us?
I know Supermetalmario and Danisawesome and Supermetalmario told me about your guild.

7. Any other details about yourself personally IRL, why do you want to be in Cloud Nine, what you think you can bring (in terms of personality, skills, etc.) and any other final comments?
I like playing around and making jokes. I want to be in Cloud Nine because the guild seems like a more wide range guild which doesn't focus on one piece of content such as only Vanaduke or Lockdown and I can be a humourous addition to the guild while being able to handle most of the game's content.

Well i've been playing this game since beta but i quitted for like 10 months, so we i came back i decided to make loadouts for vana and jelly king (which i grind a lot xD), i use Shadow Def for FSC since most of the enemies are undead, im planning on upgrading my ash tail set and a sunset set i have too.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (Do you play solo, or in a team? How well do you do against the bosses; played and Shadow Lairs before?):

I love to go with randoms/friends everywhere idc if its tier 1 2 3 or missions, i never did SL and im really looking to do it cuz im really curious of how it works :0, only time i go solo is when im doing an achievement or when theres no one in the mission/gate i want to play

5. Which time zone are you in, and how often do you play?

im in GMT - 5, i play like 6-7 hours a day (im on vacation so weeee)

6. Who in Cloud Nine do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us?

7. Any other details about yourself personally IRL, why do you want to be in Cloud Nine, what you think you can bring (in terms of personality, skills, etc.) and any other final comments?

Well i love to help people when im in the mood or have time to do it, i currently own a Elevator Pass (expires on july 4th but im planning on getting another month :0), i think im sociable and i played the game enough to be considered skilled, i usually dont like PvP in this game but if its neccesary i will do it, im looking for an active guild to talk with (tired of being alone or with people i dont know all the time D: )

Guild Hall

I like the Guild Hall Flawed, it's decorated with a lot of cool things. And we have mist wells to make our CE 20% as effective but turning it into mist, for elevators maybe. But really, our bank is way too high to upkeep, at least for me. I don't know how you guys do it o.o
