Acheron, the solo Shadow damage (and only non-elemental 5*) Brandish, lacks a status ailment. Now, I now that the niche of the Acheron is its damage type. However, what if it got the ability to inflict a status ailment like its elemental counterparts? The only real status ailment that fit, to me, was fire. This regards Shadow Fire. It wouldn't be as likely to inflict as the elemental swords, however, it could have a fair chance to inflict moderate fire. Any thoughts?

Edit: Eh, it was an idea, not really important. Graveyarded.

How about poison instead? I'm referencing Dread Skelly (which is shadow/poison defensive), all Angelic type sets (shadow/ poison defensive), Biohazard (dishes posion/shadow), etc.

Wouldn't poison fit the role a bit better?

Ngh....

No.... I shouldn't think so.

The only fitting status ailment would be curse, but that would invalidate the Faust line...

As cool as it would be to have, I don't think we really need it...

The only way I can think of to make it more possible is to give it the chance to actually spawn a shadowfire block with the explosion. On a despawn countdown timer of course.

Otherwise, general reluctant -1

Giving fire to Nightblade line: no.

Giving poison to Nightblade line: mostly yes, seeing as poison is a fairly minor status in comparison to the other statuses and Nightblade line has the same base damage as the elemental Brandish lines; unlike Shadowtech line for Alchemers which shares the Nova line damage which is slightly higher than the status afflicting lines but has no status to inflict.
