(btw, i think Spiral knights
(btw, i think Spiral knights have hair. Some examples are: the cobalt set, angelic set, and some more. So please dont criticize because the characters have hair. Now, here's the story.)
Prologue: A New Legend
Light and darkness are two ever clashing forces that embody almost everything in life. We are driven by those two forces. And ever since the year 3478, darkness and evil had ruled the world. That had changed when a little girl was born. When that happened, everything would change. And this is how it all happened. This is the legend of the final battle between good and evil. This is... The Legend of Nova.

Chapter 1: Aria
3981 A.D.
Thunder. Lightning. A torrential downpour. These things all plagued the tiny town of Haven for years. But on this particular day, the sun shone brightly over the last remains of the once great Spiral Order. Somehow, on this day, it was as if everyone was given a brief reprieve. The children would stop coughing and dying, at least for today. The shops were suddenly reopened and the makeshift wood houses were all cleaned out. It was a miracle.
But in one tiny shack, the greatest miracle of that day, and possibly the greatest miracle of the century, happened. Aria Sarenaru Komotsame was born on that day, at precisely the break of dawn. Her mother, named Lyra, and her father, a famous swordsman who was named after the great General Tsuna of the Nova squad, were both shocked. They hadn't expected for the child to be a girl. In fact, most of the young children in the town were boys, the youngest girls being at least 10 or 12. But they had a girl, and they were excited. Of course, the childbirth process was painful and difficult, but they got the child out. She had beautiful pitch-black black hair and eyes as light blue as the sky itself. They thought she was perfect. Even though she would soon become a real pain, her parents still loved her unconditionally. And on the account of her grace, they decided to give her a name just as graceful as her. They named her after the only thing that could match her beauty. They named her after the sky itself. They called her Aria. Of course, as with all kids, she got into a lot of trouble as a teen. She was slightly arrogant and rude, but she always played fair and returned the love her parents gave her. Still, she would become one of the greatest heroes ever to live. And in the middle of the darkness, she was only like a drop of rain in the flood of light that was to follow.

Chapter 2
Chapter 2: Shinigami
(A side note:in japanese mythology, the Shinigami were dangerous, ruthless death gods. And thats exactly what the one in this story is.)
4000 A.D.
"Fine. If you can take my Pyro Driver without me noticing, you can keep it." boomed the voice of the teacher. He was a tall, formidable man with a huge barrel belly (not the accessory, i mean his stomach was huge) and light green eyes. He wore a Vog cub set and had his Crest of Almire on like a backpack. In a holster on his belt was the gun fiery gun. Aria grinned at the challenge. The other four teens in her class also seemed happy to try the test. The part that made this 'challenge' so easy however... Was the fact that their teacher Jack was blind. Even so, he had amazing reflexes and his remaining senses were fine-tuned. Aria gazed around at her surroundings and quickly scaled a 10 foot tall rock hanging. Two of the students went to either side of Jack while the last two charged directly at him. Swiftly, Jack slung a wooden staff, a bō off of his back and slammed one of the students in the belly. He whipped it around and knocked two more off of their feet. The last one was immediately blown back by a shot from the combat teacher's Pyro Driver. Aria gaped at the carnage below, then took a deep breath and jumped. Up until the last second, Jack was still. Then he simply raised his elbow and Aria slammed right into it... With her face. Grimacing at the pain, she stood up and rushed at him again. Big mistake. Jack swung his bō and hit her in the stomach, whipped out his hammer and slammed her on the head, then delivered a coup de grace blow with a charge attack from his Pyro Driver. Aria fell to the ground, nearly unconscious. Jack tossed each of the students a berrylike healing herb in the shape of a heart. Aria caught it in her mouth and burst through the soft outer shell of the herb. It tasted like chocolate, milk, and vanilla. Sweet and creamy. Aria and the rest of the students slowly got to their feet. Jack laughed a good, hearty laugh that started as a chuckle but grew into a bellow. Suddenly his face sobered and he shook his head. "That was funny to know what happened to you, but this just shows what you can do even without your eyes. The lesson of today is, ‘Seeing with just the eyes isnt really seing at all.' Ok, now, see you tommorow, kids! Class dismissed."

11:59 P.M.
"Well? Im waiting for your decision" the eerie, horrible voice was made even more horrifying by the pitch black night and thundering clouds. Sophie, a girl wearing an Angelic set and who possessed crimson red eyes nodded in deference to the dark shadow ahead of her. Suddenly, a flash of lightning illuminated the figure. It was a tall person who had violet colred eyes and a black hood. An Acheron hung at his belt, whispering incomprehensibly at Sophie: "Ng'n R'yeh anga sl'qoze g'ronc fla mon..." The teenager flinched, but regained her composure and recited: "I swear to learn the way of the assassin and to commit myself to the act of killing. I will obey the order of the Shinigami without question, and strive to become stronger. I will seek power and revenge, but most importantly... DEATH TO THE SPIRALIANS." the hooded man nodded, grinned, and then said "Then it's time you learned how to kill a knight." Shoving an almost dead, almost defeated body to the ground, he wuickly hit the pressure points on the boy's back, legs, and arms. He sprung up, revealing a familiar face. Sophie gasped. She would have to kill her own best friend, Ryu Nagasaki. Gulping and arms trembling, she raised her Nightblade up to the sky. Staring down at the horrified face of her friend, she almost couldn't do it.
At that moment, the hooded man's left eye flashed with a strange red glow. Sophie couldn't keep control over her own body now. Her sword came down slowly and rested at Ryu's chest, right where his heart was. Sophie's eyes widened in desperation and fear, which gave her control of her body again for a few moments. Then the man's eyes flashed once more, and Sophie utterred a painful "I'm sorry" and impaled Ryu on her Nightblade. Her friend slumped to the floor, dead, and scarlet red blood flowed from his body. He was about to say something, but was cut off, literally. The hooded man drew his Acheron and sliced Ryu to bits in just a second. He turned to face Sophie, a grin spreading on his face. "Congrats". Strangely, Sophie didnt feel anything now. No pain, no sorrow, no regret. Her heart just felt hollow. But then her heart slowly gave in to the darkness and she found herself laughing a cold, cruel, malicious laugh. She flicked Ryu's blood from her blade and walked away. "Now that you've finally killed a Spiralian, there is no going back. Little assassin, you have chosen... The way of the Shinigami."

Aria was busy beating a tree with her bare fists when she heard the footsteps. Delivering one last blow to the tree, she struck it down with a mighty punch and whirled around, drawing her blue Flourish, her prized possession. She stopped her devillishly quick blade right before it could puncture the heart of a young girl, almost her age. Aria sighed in relief; it was her friend from combat training, Twilight. The two of them had almost identical hearts: they were both brave, slightly arrogant, kind, and of course, great at fighting. While Aria wore an Angelic helm and Dusker Coat with her Great Defender slung on her back, Twilight had the full Angelic set and had an Owlite shield strapped onto her wrist. Aria smiled at her classmate warmly. "How's it goin'? Returning the smile, Twilight stared in awe at the fallen tree behind Aria. "Did you-" she was cut off. "Yes. Yes I did." Aria beamed. Shaking her head incredulously, she looked around at the woods. "Hasn't been much... Eh... Activity lately. I wonder why." Aria understood this quite well. Haven was constantly bombarded by attacks from the evil power of the Core. This fact, coupled with the weakness of the knights now, merely weakened the camp further and made it more vulnerable. It was like a continuous domino effect.
More rustling noises. More footsteps. Twilight whipped her Antigua out while Aria had unsheathed two Caliburs. "Woah! Watch where you point those things!" a childish, young voice cried. It was another one of their classmates, a 17 year old named Porchrin. He was 4 years younger than Aria and 2 years younger than Twilight, but he was about a head taller than both of them. "For that, you two owe me." Glancing at the two beautiful girls, he rested his eyes on... Their... Eh... Special parts. They both rolled her eyes. "Dont even think about it" they said in unison. Porchrin laughed heartily. "Ok, ok! I was kidding! You didnt think I REALLY wanted to do that?" Aria narrowed her eyes at Porchrin in suspicion. The look dissappeared when they heard the sound of an explosion. The three of them confirmed what the others were thinking when they said at the same time "Core-Spawn." Aria gulped in fear and anticipation. What had happened? Would she finally get to experience a real battle? Both of those questions would soon be answered, and she knew she wouldn't like the response.
The group ran as fast as they could, but once they saw Haven, they found the place in disarray. Buildings blazed with fire. Corpses scattered the ground like bits of litter. Twilight gazed around at the carnage in absolute terror. One Knight was desperately crawling towards an energy tank, trying to replenish his health. Twilight knew that he wouldnt make it. The knight had a nearly severed arm that was hanging uselessly from his shoulder, and red Health Energy gushed out of his wound. With injuries like that, almost no amount of Energy would save the poor Knight, and he probably knew it. He almost made it to the tank, but a huge monstrosity swooped down and caught him. It was an enormous monster with dragonlike wings, the head of a Wolver and eyes of a gun puppy. Its body was a swirling mass of wind and debris. Suffice to say, it was ugly. The group gazed on in terror as the monster ripped the Knight into shreds and devoured the chunks of meat with ease. They ran away before they could witness any more horror. Another monster smashed down in front of Aria while another targeted Porcrhind and Twilight. Screeching, Blue popped out her antigua and blasted the monster about a hundred times before the gun started to overheat. Aria had no trouble, either. She merely continued walking, and when the creature charged, she merely stuck out her calibur, saying "Back off" and sliced it's head off. She heard a distant cry, which came from the direction of... "No!" Aria dropped her calibur and sprinted off towards her house, leaving a confused Porcrhind and a terrified, screaming Blue.
Fire, ashes and smoke scorched Aria's face, but she ran on, until she got to her house. It was locked. Of course, Aria didnt have a key. She had a foot. The door fell down from the might of her kick, and Aria jumped into the room, only to find her family... All with gunshots straight through the middle of the eyes and the neck. All of themhad severed limbs. For Aria, it was a gruesome sight. Crimson red blood and cerulean Energy sparked from their dead bodies. And the worst part of it was... Standing above her family, with a bloody NightBlade and Faust in each hand... Was her classmate Sophie.
Aria felt nothing but hurt and sorrow inside. She knew Sophie never liked her but THIS, this atrocity... What had she ever done to Sophie to make her hate her so much?! Aria couldnt process it all. But she knew one thing.
She had been betrayed.

When i said unstable in the bio i meant insane let me explain:when Seerus impaled him with his own gran faust his eyes grew went back to normal and turned crimson then he proceded to pull the gran faust out of his chest and killed anything in sight,fortunatley his team mates hid then he blacked out.
if you read the bio youll know that when his brother and best friend died in the skylarks crash this is what crushed his mind in doing so makes him go beserk whenever he is brutaly injured or very angry. Here are a few details about his title: he is called the lost soul because as the bio stated he wandered cradle he was sometimes seen by knights, he looked like a ghost then hence the name "lost soul" whn he goes beserk he grows, say a foot taller he gets claws and his eyes turn crimson. thats about it so good night people! :D

Bio: The town lunatic(actually the worldwide lunatic). Said to be very strong, even though it hasen't shown it... ever. It(I'm not calling him a him as you noticed) can use his unlimited amount of energy to do something that the Spiralians call "sargenting". Where madness and energy overflow into eachother into reality. Mostly in the form of sunshine, rainbow flavored spookat launchers or as enormous waffles... or changing other things into waffles... It can also eat part of its sheild and turn into a girl(still called seargent) whom is slightly more serious but is weaker by far.
How did he get onto cradle?: Exactly how he got onto cradle around 8 times in a row, by turning the energy transmitter that is made of materials only found on Favel into waffles... Yeah. He's the reason for this games existance. He can actually count how many ships he's accidentally downed because he got hungry... which was exactly 12... the other 4 is from him grabbing a beer and jumping out the window of the ship and floating in orbit for a few days... The ships try to get him back but they end up burning in the atmosphere... Yeah. He can't actually controll his madness.
BUT HE ISN'T A BAD GUY....girl...thing... not the point. The point is is that he has been put into multiple asylums to be let out the next day because they said he was completely sane. He can be, but he isn't as bubbley and seargenty that way... Yeah. He's sorta weird that way.
Misc: 0 pet peeves, has been arrested for driving in general, most people fear him because they think he will kill them. He never kills, just a splodes then revives later. loves to be in orbit, strangers call him the God of Madness, he can fly like a snipe with his arms, unfortunate knights went to vanaduke seeing him and Seargent and alot of slags doing ballet and drinking tea... Yeah he knows vanaduke. threw a chair at a beggar, slept in the Katmobile, Danced with Michael Slagson in Thriller. Plays PC games without monitors.
Sorry if this is long and utterly random. Its a guy that me and my 10yo sister joke about alot

Part 1
Anyone normal would just fall to the ground and faint of astonishment if they saw their family killed before their eyes. But Aria was by NO means, none at all, normal. She walked away, then pulled off a great Wolver Protects its Tail strike, a spinning attack that hit an enemy when your back was turned. The nozzle of her Antigua connected with Sophie's shoulder and an audible crack was heard from her. But Sophie was no weakling either. She dropped her Faust, which was in the arm that the Antigua hit, and charged. Although both girls were exhausted, they executed their techniques quickly and fluidly. Aria was able to dodge and parry away all of Sophie's strikes with just her gun, but every shot from her Antigua was rendered useless by her rival in the same manner. Sophie finally knocked the piercing gun out of Aria's hand and kicked her to the ground. She stabbed down with her Faust, intending to finish Aria. At the last second, Aria grabbed the Shadow Sword with just her two hands, stopping it just short of her chest. A closer look revealed, though, that there was a small cut right over her heart. The young woman grimaced but didnt scream. She punched Sophie in the face, causing her to drop the sword. Now both of them had to fight hand to hand. And the two would be locked in a deadly and beautiful dance for a whole half hour before the tide turned. But the waves of fate didnt flow in Aria's favor that day.
Both of the teens connected punch after kick after jab on each other, but Aria finally, but momentarilly gained the upper hand when she spear-handed Sophie in the stomach. But her rival was not done yet, far from it actually. Her left eye flashed red and suddenly she was behind Aria, connecting a series of jabs all over her body. Aria fell to the ground, twitching, in so much pain she couldnt even muster enough strength to scream. Even this strange horror didnt fell Aria, not yet. She slowly lifted her head up towards a leering Sophie. "Wh- wha... What did you do to me?!" she whispered. Sophie grinned maliciously and carelessly dragged her classmate's head up to her. "Simple... That was the Death Touch... The power of the Shinigami." Aria's eyes widened in terror as Sophie let go of her head, slamming it to the floor. Her heart was under so much pressure that it would burst soon. Then... Aria's world went black.

Side note: any1 who has a character in this story friend me in game, we can discuss what you want to happen to your character while were playing. Btw, since my tongue slips quite a bit, i might give those people accidental sneakpeeks at the rest of the story. Therefore, if u have a character in the story, u get extra tidbits on it and stuff.
Btw the contest for the rival squad is still ongoin. The best apps will earn 10 crowns for their efforts and the very best submission for the rival squad gets 50 crowns AND their character becomes the rival squad leader, the only one in the rival squad that survives, except for Suza (Suza was made by Angelic-tear).

...I'll just do some random copypasta thing.
Name: Maria
Gender: Female
Age: 10
Race: Wolver
Personality: Maria is quite the adventurer, and, standing alongside Kristopher, will help him with any adventure.
Gear: Maria wears a specially crafted Wyvern Scale Armor and Shield, and uses her claws and jaws as a weapon, because she's a wolver, obviously.
Accessories, if any: None, other than the fact she has a scar on her left cheek.
Role: Companion for Kristopher and a Main character.
Good or evil: Good
Bio: Maria is a young wolver, who was orphaned from a war between wolvers and skolvers. She is haunted by nightmares of the tragic time when she saw her parents get brutally murdered in front of her eyes, and being injured by a Skolver while fleeing the woods where she lived, which gave her the scar she has today.
Misc: As a little twist to throw in, Maria begins to remember the tragic events that left her orphaned.
This next one is one that'll appear in a fanfic of mine, so Kris kinda has 2 companions...lol.
Name: Snarby (Nickname that Kris gives it)

Race: Baby Snarbolax
Personality: Snarby is very playful and curious about the world around him.
Gear: Snarby is unarmed, but he's kept in a monster pocket that's attached to Kris for protection.

Bio: Snarby is a infant Snarbolax who hatched from it's egg in the Royal Jelly Palace. He likes to play with wolvers, especially Maria.
Misc: None, he's just a minor character who appears when Kristopher appears.

Age: 15
Race: Spiral Knight
Personality: Kristopher is quite curious, but very determined to solve the puzzles of the clockworks and help fix the skylark.
Gear: Kristopher has a set of Mighty Cobalt armor, wields a Ascended Calibur, Master Blaster and Master Blast Bomb.
Accessories, if any: A beast monster pocket that he keeps Snarby in.
Role: Main character.
Good or evil: Good
Bio: Kristopher is a knight who, doesn't know he's an Almire Crusader. Nobody else knows that, but he does keep Maria and Snarby safe from the dangers of the clockworks.
Misc: As a twist, he find out his past, and what he finds isn't so pretty at all.
