well, theres this guy on the forums, named The-Rawrcake, and he/she/it posted a hate thread targeting swordsmen, which i find kind of funny, since in doing that, he/she/it just became whatever it was he/she/it was hating on, so i went and spent five minutes of my life logging onto the forums, (which is the reason my posts are rare) and typed up a little trollpost just for him/her/it :) arent i nice
PS i know that rawr is a swordsman cuz his/her/it's pic is a bomb, and everyone knows only swordsmen know how to hit a bomb properly >:D

I'm a swordsman, and I read ANY topic I see on the forums if I think it has a good discussion. You ruined my faith in that, and gave me a laugh.

Also I'm a gunner in half the levels, and a Swordsman in the other half. I've yet to see the reason why everyone hates eachother like this (well "hates")

Gunners can be just as annoying as Swordsman. Not to mention you'll have a lot less respect now on the forums because of this.

First, before i start i shall say to you raw cake, that guns can be just as annoying. Llike the SUPERNOVA/POLARIS in arcad gates. TEAMWORK is TOTALLY RUINED, if not used well. Luckily i only play with people i know (well, most of the time) and i know few bad gunners. Most people i know are swordsmen tho.

So I was in a beast stratum, as a gunner. I had my Antigua ready to shoot those wolvers with my infinite clip. As i was walking through the one-way gate, a swordie came with an elemental sword and a shadow sword. First thing, he shouted ‘‘what the hell, how am i supposed to fight wolvers with elemental and shadow???'' I was like ‘‘it's not my fault you came just as i was walking through.'' I stayed calm, and was just shooting my 5shots5shots5shots tactic when he comes along and hits the wolver with his elemental sword instead of his shadow one. ''Why not use the shadow one?'' i said when i had finished the last wolver. He was at 1/2 hp by now, only because i had saved him again and again, by ruining my infi clip trick. ''It's your fault, so you can't complain'' he said. This was pissing me off. He ran straight to 5 wolvers and got killed. I reved him, and he just did the same thing. This time i shot them all down first, the reved him. All the time he had been spamming ''why aren't you reving me!? I could kill them quicker than you''. As if. After a while of waiting, a few floors down he revs he and charges his flourish. He goes for a tier three wolver, another glitch where the higher tier comes, and is owned because the wolver burrows as he lets his (glitched) charge off and it attacked from behind. He revs himself, and starts trying to hit the wolver, but his blows glancing as the wolvers dashes to me. I kill him and he starts talking about how his weapons are so much stronger. Then came some jellies. He got hit just three times and he died, while I merrily shot them down with my shadowtech MKII. He complains about me not reving him, the price to high now, and i get bored. I kill them all and walk on without revving him. He shouts, because he is a noob he doesn't know how to go solo, and threatens me. I tell him it's illegal, he just reports me. Guess what? nothing happened. I ignore his annoying comments, and he leaves. A happy ending for me, as i complete the run (JK) and live happily ever after. Next time i saw him, he was completely silent to wards me.

Honestly, guys, just agree to use bomb sword guns.

But seriously folks, all weapon types are fairly balanced in both PvP and PvE. Obviously swords have a bit of an edge (no pun intended) but many bombs (RSS, some Hazes like VT and SS, even ISB has uses!) are useful. Guns, though they usually excel at combatting bombs, can still deal heavy damage; try hit-and-run strategies with the Cloak and a Status Driver/Callahan. Except against a Skolver, a Hail Driver will be great for locking a target in place so you can unload... let's say a Blitz charge on them. Also, Vortex + Furnace. Ever tried it? It's fun. Vortex in Reactor is also fun.

There's no need to hate on other players because of their weapon choices, no matter who you are.

im not a bomber most of the time, im a gun/sword/bomb guy :D yet i do know how to use bombs.
so im decked out with Electron Bomb, Shivermist Buster and Master Blast Bomb with a Construct Dmg:High (why did i ever sell you?! D:)
anyway im doing a dual FSC run with an all out Vog Cub wolver swordman, 4 slots with swords, 2 dmg trinkets and lots of defense UVs. i thought this was gonna be a fast, easy FSC run...i was wrong. trouble begins in Charred Court. I mean, whoa this guys ego was too much. a swordman tell me where to put bombs and even telling me NOT to put bombs. anyway i dont rage quickly so i say, "sure sure, just making sure we dont get in too much trouble" get this, he says, "my Divine Avenger with ASI High, i can do this room by myself". i leave him be. after 2 done rooms by myself WITH bombs, he still in the same room i left him. Midway in my 3rd room, he finishes. In my mind, "about time". a little later on, in middle of charred court, he dies and whines. i save him, a few more minutes, he dies again! me thinking, "how can this be?! hes a pro, isnt he?". In ashens armory i think, wheres the rooms with the respawning slags, i volunter to use electron bomb while he gets his health back on. I place the electrons as i always do, killing ALL the slags in 2-3 charges. i guess he wants in, cuz he goes pass the spikes, trying to show off with hsi swords. THIS GUYS WAS DISPLACING MY BOMBS! i mean few slags in my electron and he would come in and knock them out so i never get the damage. in smoldering steps, in last stage, he dies and i cant get to him so i spam the Blast bomb while he begs me to rez him. (he has a 80energy rez while i still havent rezed myself). keeps begging me to rez him while he sees theres 1 trojans and a wall of slags of between us. WTH bro? sadly i do die, and he starts complaining how this would never have happened if i rezed him. i tell him i will rez and get him yet i will use the electron bomb so be careful. i rez and get him. notice how i didnt get any other slags. i set a few electrons and HE gets stuck INSIDE one with 4 slags arounds him, easy death. HE GETS ANGRY! they should really not have a chat option to filter words cuz i get cursed realy bad on how its my fualt he died. im luaghing in the inside, but i go rez him, i rez him and i see a loading screen...O.O..did..he ..just?...he kicked me. that little son of a b**** kicked me! learned my lesson bout reviving arrogant swordies :_

im guessing he was one of those 11yr olds with a big allowance. really someone with that gear shouldnt have played like that. anyway...
reason why i hate sword players is cuz they want to do the big role even when it means endangering themselves and their teammates. i mean when was the last time you saw a striker tagging along a guardian? (dont mention me)
most sword players dont help the team. they never heard of something called support :_
any way what i would do with 500ce is get UVs for my bombs or get more bomber gear so i can kill me some swordman in lockdown >:)

Much as I'd love to uphold the honour of my fellow gunners (and, y'know, net myself 500 ce), I don't really have any good swordie stories - just tales of generic annoyance at their constant kill-stealing and a few times when brandish charges have thrown monsters at me.

No, most of my rage tales are about something else entirely - Polaris spammers. Although come to think of it, quite a few of the worst offenders have primarily been swordsmen...

Personally i dont think the treasure vault should be aimed at hammering other classes. I never thought i would see racism in sk, because, lets be honest guys, thats pretty messed up. As a proud swordsman, and a gun slinger on the side, i can really say that i've had bad experiences with swordsmen, AND gunners, AND bombers. I don't hate the class, in fact, i dont hate anyone, but if you want to point fingers you point them at the player, who is probably some ten year old with parents that spoil him. Rawrcake cmon man dont point fingers towards us swordies.

Seeing that i have nothing better to do, i'll humor you with one of my stories about noobish players, this one happend to be a swordsman.

I was running jk yet again, to heat up a gun. After asking around my guild to see if anyone wanted to go with me, i decided i was feeling lucky and selected the mission and joined a random party; usually i dont do this. When i join the mission lobby, i see one guy with brute jelly, a faust, and a gigawatt. I'm thinking ok, at least this guy isnt completely incompetent. The next guy, is wearing ash tail, he has a blizzbrand, and i think he also has a gigawatt. Now, i'm tier three, i have skolver, grey owlite, and i think i brought my GF, the kilowatt pulsar, and some other weapons that dont need to be mentioned. When the guy wearing ash spots me, we'll call him Bob to keep things simple, he says somethink like "good, we have a tier 3."

I laugh and step onto the elevator and we go down. Right when we start, he starts telling me the dumbest things like, "oh hit the switch, so we can go on," or, "use your gran faust, it's good against jellies." As if i didn't already know that. So the other guy, in brute jelly goes down, and he immediately starts belittling him for no reason. I think nothing of it, and go revive him. With a thanks from him he gets back in the fray. Bob, then messages me saying we should kick him. I tell him that it's one time and to keep going.

Now, before i continue, i need to say that i have the worst lag imaginable. I've probably clocked more hours in "lag purgatory" than most. My comp is pretty good, but sometimes i have to run sk on low because of my internet speed. So anyway, i bite the dust, sadly, and Bob starts raging. He's saying things like, "you dont deserve that tier 3 armor! what kind of tier 3 are you! god you suck!"

I stay silent, and the brute jelly guy comes and revives me. Suddenly Bob dies, and i go over to revive him, and he starts saying that it wasnt his fault, and rambles off some excuses. Normally at this time, i would just leave. I mean, this is too much. For some reason i stay for the first depth of jk, and the second. After the second, i leave, it was too much.

I guess this rant is mainly meant to be aimed at players who think they're pro, but are really just arrogant jerks. So what if he happend to be a swordsman. I'm a swordsman, and proud of it. What are you going to do about it? Call me a noob for choosing swords over guns?

I just removed the link out of fear of fingerpointing. I already feel bad enough of talking bad about people regardless of how nooby they may be.

This seems kinda disciminating and stereotypical to me, is it really accurate to judge the personality, preferences, hygiene(LOL@6.) and intelligence just by the gear that they use? I'm not saying that there aren't any jerks out there, it's mainly that many players are swordies, and a lot of jerks don't bother thinking or reflecting a lot on things, hence more jerk swordies. I'd say that those swordies that are being hated on are mainly hated due to their personality(unless you absolutely hate swords, no matter who wields them), they're likely not going to be a lot more kinda and considerate just by going all gunner/bomber/hybrid gear, right? I know plenty of pure swordies that are quite nice, without the traits mentioned on this thread. Same goes for Polaris spammers, they're mainly annoying because they're inconsiderate towards their team mates. I've done runs with players who used Polaris as a support weapon, herding enemies into tight groups and leaving them vulnerable. Quite different to those that spam the gun and fill the screen with blue flashes and flying enemies. And no, I'm not a pure swordie(even though I did start off as one), I play hybrid style, trying my best to keep an eye on team mates and consider if my strategies and manoeuvres will negatively affect them, and which ones will help them out instead. Even if I WAS a pure swordie, I'd still visit this thread, since I find the damage potential and style of these weapons interesting. Just remember that there are good and bad people everywhere, what changes is that they might benefit you differently, or annoy you differently.
