How do they work? Is it just a loop of items, or are they selected at random? Are items from a set list of goods or are they random as well?
I'm just curious, as I really wanna try and get myself a gold Chapeau, I think they've been up their before (According to the wiki), but I wanna know how long I need to wait till their back.
Also the AH seems to be getting clustered by Trojan masks and Love puppies :P
I think gold chapeau's were part of a promotion way back when (before my time, certainly). What I want to know is why I haven't seen chapeau's to match any of the tabards that do pop up in the auction house - I've seen both violet and coral tabards (and own a violet), but no matching hats. Do they not actually sell them, or do they just sell out that fast?
The Gold Chapeau was a CE promo gift way back when (much like Black, Red and White) that was given out with every 10 buck purchase of CE. Promos lasted long back in the day, if I remember correctly, and Chapeaus were the first ever. Yes, the AH does have the chapeaus for the violet and coral BUT, they do sell out almost instantly. Players are more interested in the hats then the armor that goes with it.
Gold, Green, and Blue Rose Regalia were only available through the Rose Regalia Redux promo back in September(?). They were never on the Featured Auctions and, given the response of 2 of each set of the first gen Rose Regalia (Red, Black, and White) being featured once, they never will be. Coral and Violet Rose Regalia sets go up every so often for 495k a piece, but the Chapeaux tend to sell out so quickly that you usually only see the Tabards up for sale.

I dont recall seeing a gold chapeau. Unless it sold out so fast I didnt have time to check it :p.
