First of I woud like to say Spiral Knights is awesome but it needs allot of work for it to be the best.
These are my suggestions for the game:
Bombs need change so that they have a non charged attack. This means smaller bombs similar to grimlin bombs when not charging. Of course damage would be minute but they would help keep enemy at bay. More details later.
Dash attacks for all weapons and types.
Damage bonus for Heavy armors. Volcanic Plate mail should have a Medium fiend damage bonus, and Iron might needs a medium beast damage bonus. In all this will make the armor a plausable choice for use.
Equiptment like armor and shields that only have normal defence beyond being 4 Stars must be given a second defence type.
Sparing Areas in advanced training hall, and guild halls. These areas would and will be limited in the number of players participating at a time by having hollow doors that act similar if not exactily like the ones that restrict players from carying totums in or out of an area. After two or a limit of players are in the area they may test ones knowlege and abilities against others. Players in the areas that fall will be teleported outside the wring to prevent abuse.
PvP needs a complete revamp, removing Classes from Lockdown and power ups from Blast network. What I have found is that both Lockdown and Blastnetwork suck. Lockdown continuesly gets patched and blastnetwork gets very low traffic. I have found the problems are class and power ups balance issues. More than removing classes for lockdown I want to change the way they fit into the game as powerups. What I thought up is to have reward powerups per capture and kill. By removing classes all players now have shield options. The reward would be attack and charge boosts. Most boosts that can be given trough trinkets. They would be obtained one at a time randomly. Every boost gives a verylow otr low depending on the powerup. They then stack for every one collected. There would be a limit to four types and a limit to three per type. All are lost at death unless NRg revive is used.

Add fees to redue completed missions. It is only fair to do so if not completely denying entry at all. The fee would be similar to entering a arcade level without passing previous tiers. 200cr and 400cr fees depending on the tier. This would not include halls or prestige missions.
Add new CE generating System. This System will be to reduce groing prices of CE in the market. Unlike trading in the market generating CE this way is slightly harder and time consuming. Mist energy can be traded for CE by conversion in special machines. I have many different ideas to do this. the first is to have 100 mist energy tradeable for 10 ce thought machines that would also require certain amount of crowns. Similar to the last, special items like Materials or crystals would be fused to make CE through a machine. The next is complex and it is to have players buy items that are found at crossroad areas that can be bought (4000cr for example) then exchanged in heaven later for CE. There is a limit to the amount that can be bought, lets say five. To complete that transaction one does not need to have full mist bars. One simply goes to trade the mist one has for CE though an Ai or machine. I would like the first idea to be added to the game. It is alot more balanced.
Make Recipes one time use. This would be to reduce market abuse.
Make materials harder to obtain. Similar to Items during clockworks levels Materials should be limited to what types of materials are gathered by making it that materials are placed on one of the four slots that are now occupied only by items. However, Mats will not to be limited in the amount of the type collected. One must carefully select the items and mats that will be carried. After every elevator, collected mats will be erased from the list of items allowing more mats to be collected every level. the collected Mats will be sent to haven and recieved only after leaving or completing a level. Those mats not sent to heaven by elevator will be lost. I am sure it would be an improvement to make gathering materials a true feat.
