This is a forum post I made on the Jempire Private Forums to inform my fellow guild-mates onto why my girlfriend Snarbii was banned. I will use it here simply to tell the story.

We have sent emails (screen shots below) but Sarah(Snarbii) Has been banned since 3/25/12 and we have yet to have any helpful information. Our Last Known response is 04/11/2012 and we have been sending a couple of emails since then. All we want is our account back. She has given me permission to use all this information publicly as we are desperate to get her account back.

The reason Sarah "Snarbii" is banned
The reason isn't simple, and it comes with a story, a short answer would simply be "Sarah is banned due to payment reversals" but that honestly has no justice to it. This isn't a angry post, this isn't a protest post either, simply put this is a informative post on the reason Sarah (aka Snarbii is banned).

Dragon wings go on sale, and shadow dragon wings is the new MUST HAVE for Snarb coats! With Sarahs name being Snarbii these were a MUST HAVE! So I logged on and bought 10 pairs of wings on my account, no luck. Defeated I told Sarah I didn't want to spend more money on my side and that I would figure a way to get a pair later. Sarah determined (but still in bed) asked me to get on her account and buy wings on her account. I didn't see a problem with it and I went for it, there was two credit cards on Sarahs account it never occurred to me that one was hers and the other was her mothers. Unfortunately I used her mothers credit card. Both of us go on none the wiser.

Sarah has her steam account banned. Seeings how she can't log in, I take it upon myself to put in a ticket for her. About 3 days after they let me know Sarah needs to make a new account in order to get things straight. At this point we are unaware of why her STEAM account has been banned.

The image is the message and exchange Sarah had from steam support. What had happened was Sarahs mother saw the purchase made and didn't recognize it, Called it in as fraud. After we found out we talked to her mother and told her the situation. She told steam the mistake that had happened and Sarah got her account back. For a short while, we were quickly banned again. This time according to steam, they let Sarahs Mother know that we were meant to pay 60 dollars to steam and use that 60 dollars on Spiral knights. Something we were never told, regardless we did as they asked and thought it was the end of it.

Sarahs Spiral Knights account has been PERMANENTLY banned due to "payment reversals". We quickly researched bans in Spiral Knights and found a way for Sarah to contact Spiral Knights support on the issue. We sent in the following.

It reads from bottom to the top.

Basically it says that they are trying to figure things out over and over. To this day Sarah is still banned and the reason.. is unknown...

This sounds like quite the sticky situation, very difficult to undo. I'd recommend for Sarah to make a new account, unfortunately, and start from scratch (and not purchase anything). Maybe you and her other friends could help her get back up. However, if she wants her old account, I'm afraid I have no words of wisdom.

hopefully OOO can recover the character for her. I understand (and agree) that "just start over," is neither a satisfactory, or realistic response.

Starting over would mean

Starting over would mean giving up over 100kCE worth in items, Twilight Aura,Shadow Dragon wings, Love puppy disguise, Love Aura and many many other worthwhile items. It is out of the question.

I never said that it was the best way. I was just saying it's "a way" if OOO deems that they can not get the account back, which is unlikely. It's hard to do something about such a case, and I believe that the GMs should be able to reactivate the account. What I was trying to say is that I'm not particularly experienced with the rules/bans/etc. with Spiral Knights and that hopefully you can get the account back. It's a big misunderstanding that hopefully can get settled.

I sympathize with the lack of

I sympathize with the lack of info here. However, payment reversals are frankly a big deal, and when Steam is involved they are extremely complex to investigate. We are also dependent upon Steam responding to our queries in a timely manner.

When information does come through, the response will be through email sent to the account owner--we don't discuss billing details in the forums, nor do we discuss them with anyone but the account owner.
