No really, I'm curious, why don't some of you have full inspect on? Especially when you join parties. Its hard to judge whether you're in a good group or not if people just hide all their stuff away.

It's not like anyone can steal your stuff from ya.

Moo~~

Cause I dont want noobs inspecting me and begging me for money. Other than that, its to piss off people who wants to see my gear.

That, and because it would ruin the surprise in LD. If they see what I have on, they'll know what they're dealing with.

If it's outside of parties/dungeons

I personally have my full inspect on, but I suspect the reason for that is because of beggars and unwanted friend requests. I know some people wear worse gears just to avoid those two, and I can relate to that. (Or maybe that person is hiding the triple UVs on his BTB, triple UVs aren't cheap or easy to obtain!)

Now, why keep full inspect off when in a group? That's probably laziness lol, some people probably can't be bothered to turn them on again.

Also another possibility is that the person isn't aware of the existence of full inspect, since if I'm not mistaken full inspect is off by default.

Meh.

I don't keep Full Inspect on for a few reasons.

1) I wear a costume 99% of the time (Normally my Chaos Set) and I don't like people seeing my gear.

2) Spammed by friend requests/beggars

3) Not in my snazzy, "good" UVs sometimes.

My 3 main reasons.

.....

I keep mine off to keep away prying eyes.

People would judge me by my gear alone, and I've heard too many stories of people who've been kicked for having a particular spam-prone weapon.

Ascended Calibur just HAPPENS to be my favorite weapon...

Also, beggers and other collectors keep eyegoggling my shiny helmet enough, I rather not give them something else to gaga over.

I keep full inspect on.

I keep it on at all times and whenever some random person asks for free stuff I just ignore them or add them to my ignore list.

It's annoying when you're doing a run with a PUG and all their full inspects are off so you have no way of knowing what they're bringing...

lol

i think lots of lockdown elitists keep it locked because they don't want people to know they have max-max armors and asi vh everything weapons.

then they go post how UV's don't help in LD on the forums.

LOL wearing prismatic/divine

LOL wearing prismatic/divine halos with full inspect off doesn't really stop beggars... just saying.

I keep mine on since long time ago, I know people gets curious when they see one of my haired skolvers (sometimes I get trade requests when they actually meant to inspect). Since I solo gates 99% of the time, PUGs aren't a problem.

First week that I was playing

First week that I was playing and learning the game I'd run into picky nutcases that'd leave/kick me for not wearing 5* or something other ridiculous thing when I'm doing standard questline stuff to progress through the game. So I learned to turn inspect off, stop getting complaints and just never bothered to turn it back on.

Um guys

Beggars can still see your mission rank even if you have Full Inspect off, if you're a Champion or Vanguard hiding your stuff isn't going to deter them.

I never turn it on

Off or on, neither is necessary.
Personally, if I want to get an idea on how good a player is, I just observe their skill. I only try to inspect others if it seems they need heat.

I feel the same way OP

When I'm killing time at the AH, i really enjoy just flipping through people's gear. I like seeing what people have, maybe give me more ideas as to what gear to craft next. I always keep inspect on because dammit, I want to see what you have too.

It provides a strategic

It provides a strategic advantage in lockdown, and keep nosy people from getting all up in your ass and begging for free stuff.

hmm

Personally, I like to keep mine off because if people are inspecting to get a better look at my outfit, I would prefer they see me in my standing-still mode. So, it's an aesthetic choice. Also, sort of out of the mentality that I'm being inspected in a non combat area. I don't join random groups, so there's no need for my gear to be visible.

I know I could leave it on and take off my first weapon, but that's one more step before battle-ready. I already forget to change out of my 1 star shield enough XD I don't need to forget a weapon, too =)

For the record, I was

For the record, I was referring more towards being in parties for clockwork/missions, not LD.

And seriously, its a little box to tick on and off. Ain't that hard to just turn it off if you're going into LD.

^Yep.
I sometimes just like to flip through peoples gear who look interesting while wasting time at the AH.
So I keep mine on in-case anyone wants to flip through my stuff.
Just treating others how I like to be treated, but I have no problems with people who keep it off, they have their good reasons.

I keep mine on all the time,

I keep mine on all the time, just to save me the trouble of having to turn it on if I'm going to a Shadow Lair (people like to make sure you're up to spec, it doesn't bother me to humor them). That said, I know a lot of people who keep it turned off just to avoid the ever-present beggars, and some who just plain don't like being inspected. On or off, doesn't bother me.

Well, think about it. How would YOU feel if someone could see what is under your clothes? I know I would feel violated ¬_¬.

I leave it on because i

I leave it on because i figured people if people inspect me, they would want to see what I had on, not just the costume. I don't really have anything to hide.

A big thing I believe is that if I happen to play better than someone in lockdown, they may want to see my gear to see if it is giving me a significant advantage over them, for instance, pierce def and they're wearing vog. In this case, I rather they let them see this than think I am some super amazing awesome dude.

Personally, I like how my other guildies also leave inspect on, so I guess it's the norm.
