Are you all aware of the game "The Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures?" Its almost like this game. The battles, the sword fighting, the items. But what caught my attention when you would complete a level in four sword adventures. You would get like a little place of judgment to see who was the best. There rankings are the following,
Enemies defeated (increases your ranking)
Hearts saved (increases your ranking)
Lives Lost (Decreases your ranking)
Most helpful in this depth (Increases your ranking/it is chosen by the players)
Least Helpful in this depth (Decreases your ranking/ it is also chosen by players)
Force Gems (Collectable/increases your ranking)
The player that wins gets bragging rights. But we can also use this in spiral knights dont you think? It will make depths in the game much more interesting. Each knight will be stashed on a platform. The platform will rise as the rank increases and fall as the rank decreases. Multiple-choice questions will pop up as the following-
Example: When fellow knight Bob finishes the depth, He is asked the following questions-
Who is the most helpful to you?
Drake Will Blake
Who was the least helpful to you?
Drake Will Blake
He clicks on one of the following for each question.
Every knight answers and the judgement begins. players will be graded by the following-
Monsters defeated (increases your ranking)
Least Damage Taken/ Bars of life saved (increases your ranking)
Lives Lost (Decreases your ranking)
Most helpful in this depth (Increases your ranking/it is chosen by the players)
Least Helpful in this depth (Decreases your ranking/ it is also chosen by players)
Minerals Collected (Increases your ranking)
The knight with the highest ranking will get yet another prize wheel containing better items than 50 crs or an iron lockbox/mirrored lock box. Items will get better according to tier. This was what i was thinking this-
tier 1 tier 2 tier 3
500 crowns 1,000 crowns 2,000 crowns
0-1 star item 2-3 star item 4-5 star item
1,000 crowns (RARE) 10,000 crowns (RARE) 20,000 crowns (RARE)
costume costume costume
accessery accessery accessery
That is the most i can think of. You fellow knights and game masters might think differently but its just a little brainstorm. This will only be rewarded to the knight with the highest ranking.
This can go for every depth or for the last depth of the run. This will only take place when there are at least 3 knights in the party. Players can also talk during this as well. As i said before, this will make the game more competitive and more enjoyable. If you have not played four sword adventures multiplayer then watch 20:30 to 21:37 of this video located on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur8F1wgJqhQ&list=PLDC4DE76638F41BA8&featu... to see what i am talking about.
I don't think so. Adding 'who's better' to this game is going to cause a lot of elitist players to brag about...whatever they'll brag about.
Also it gives incentive for party-member trolling, like bumping blast cubes into allies and hitting switches with intention of party-harm. Or the whole party working to troll one member or something.
Things of the like. It'll work with games like Zelda where you can trust the people you play with because you know them IRL, but imagine the raging in PUGs and other stuff.
I just don't see it working with SK sorry.
