Who Did The Best?

Are you all aware of the game "The Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures?" Its almost like this game. The battles, the sword fighting, the items. But what caught my attention when you would complete a level in four sword adventures. You would get like a little place of judgment to see who was the best. There rankings are the following,

Enemies defeated (increases your ranking)
Hearts saved (increases your ranking)
Lives Lost (Decreases your ranking)
Most helpful in this depth (Increases your ranking/it is chosen by the players)
Least Helpful in this depth (Decreases your ranking/ it is also chosen by players)
Force Gems (Collectable/increases your ranking)

The player that wins gets bragging rights. But we can also use this in spiral knights dont you think? It will make depths in the game much more interesting. Each knight will be stashed on a platform. The platform will rise as the rank increases and fall as the rank decreases. Multiple-choice questions will pop up as the following-

Example: When fellow knight Bob finishes the depth, He is asked the following questions-

Who is the most helpful to you?
Drake Will Blake

Who was the least helpful to you?
Drake Will Blake

He clicks on one of the following for each question.

Every knight answers and the judgement begins. players will be graded by the following-

Monsters defeated (increases your ranking)
Least Damage Taken/ Bars of life saved (increases your ranking)
Lives Lost (Decreases your ranking)
Most helpful in this depth (Increases your ranking/it is chosen by the players)
Least Helpful in this depth (Decreases your ranking/ it is also chosen by players)
Minerals Collected (Increases your ranking)

The knight with the highest ranking will get yet another prize wheel containing better items than 50 crs or an iron lockbox/mirrored lock box. Items will get better according to tier. This was what i was thinking this-

tier 1 tier 2 tier 3

500 crowns 1,000 crowns 2,000 crowns
0-1 star item 2-3 star item 4-5 star item
1,000 crowns (RARE) 10,000 crowns (RARE) 20,000 crowns (RARE)
costume costume costume
accessery accessery accessery

That is the most i can think of. You fellow knights and game masters might think differently but its just a little brainstorm. This will only be rewarded to the knight with the highest ranking.

This can go for every depth or for the last depth of the run. This will only take place when there are at least 3 knights in the party. Players can also talk during this as well. As i said before, this will make the game more competitive and more enjoyable. If you have not played four sword adventures multiplayer then watch 20:30 to 21:37 of this video located on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur8F1wgJqhQ&list=PLDC4DE76638F41BA8&featu... to see what i am talking about.

Mmmh...

I don't think so. Adding 'who's better' to this game is going to cause a lot of elitist players to brag about...whatever they'll brag about.

Also it gives incentive for party-member trolling, like bumping blast cubes into allies and hitting switches with intention of party-harm. Or the whole party working to troll one member or something.

Things of the like. It'll work with games like Zelda where you can trust the people you play with because you know them IRL, but imagine the raging in PUGs and other stuff.

I just don't see it working with SK sorry.

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS

I can see this helping poor Trollaris spammers who don't know their weapon is killing off their friends, and I'd love to see the reactions from the Vof Cub clones I outdamage in FSC with my RSS. However, I think this might cause too many elitist jerks to parade their "pro skills", so any system should take into account the star level of someone's gear. RSS excluded, of course- it should be considered a 5* weapon because otherwise, I'd be cheating the system. But if you've only got a teensy-weensy Boltbrand and Ash tail, and you're dishing out as much damage as full Vog DA and Blitz mega-players, you should get a reward.

Minerals collected is the same for everyone; you shouldn't reward a guy for picking up a bigger crystal. I suppose you should reward those who take the time to pick up minerals, but isn't the mineral enough?

Also, that prize wheel is too awesome. A chance at a 4-5* item every time my party liked me more (which, if I'm using a Vortex, might be quite a lot) would make me too rich, too fast.

Competitive?

See that would be the competitive part. I doubt Game Masters if this was to happen in another update, they would make it an option to do it or not. And about the crowns, it doesnt have to be 500-1,000 or 4* to 5* items. It can be like 50 crs or something like that, maybe not even a prise. But you have to admit, it will give knights something to laugh and get competitive about.

Scoring while pouring some flooring

Showing the results of what has been done by the user is one thing (enemies killed, etc.), giving them something as a reward for doing what had to be done anyway is another.

"it will give knights something to laugh and get competitive about"

Take my word for it when I tell you that's not even half of it. Most won't laugh, they'll just troll each other and try everything they can to get those points, including teamkilling.

Alternative

Instead of monetary and/or item rewards, giving a sort of title system for certain feats as achievements and/or titles attached near the knight name might work.

User drops a pill, teammate picks it up, teammate uses it.

User thaws teammate.

User douses burning teammate.

User kills the same enemy which killed a teammate shortly after the teammate became incapacitated.

Same as the prestige badge, no monetary/economic gain but it makes players feel like they are actually helpful in parties. The above examples are just general ideas of such awards for teamwork, but giving rewards for these or a giant banner that says "LOOK AT THIS GUY HE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER THREE OF YOU" would just provoke conflict.

I could see...

This kind of being like the end of L4D where it shows who did what, but not so blatant.

Much like Luguiru said with his stuff, let's replace "Damage done" and "Enemies killed" with "Team mates ressurected", "Pills used/Given" and "Doused/Thawed"

uhg......

not like this is a bad idea or anthing but i THINK the OP wants some sort of ego boost since PVP ranking wasnt enough

IF so this would force all players to use swords to gain their daily doses of ego and thus othe weapon would just go down the drain and never excited........

For my people (Demos) I mush do this!!!!!!

Oh, I just remembered.

Because most bombers in a Party will go to a 'supportive mode', where they pack mist bombs to assist DPS players dealing with mobs, with this implemented, it will become 'known' that bombers are 'useless' in a party, when actually they helped the party a lot more than the stats can show i.e Shivermist freezing.

Everyone will begin to hate bombs for their 'uselessness', and more so their users for choosing such a 'Useless weapon'.

Note that I don't think bombs/bombers are useless. it was a projected scenario.

Cull the Questions

At the end of a level, most people just want to get going. Failing that, do we need more things to wait for on top of loading times and connection lag?

Also, on top of stroking and inciting elitist egos, in a game where almost everything is evenly-distributed, we don't really need to start giving out, well, items that aren't even theoretically divvied up evenly. It doesn't really work for the whole "cooperating" experience thing.

Maybe, instead of doing this for SK in general, we could only use it for PvP? It's not like we don't already wait after a match, so we might as well use that for giving bonus awards. PvP is all about bragging rights and rewards, so this system would fit right in, really.

I'd like to see this, but

I'd like to see this, but without stats saved after the level is over (or publicly viewable if they are saved) or any rewards given.
