I recorded a video of me gunning in Lockdown!

But the real reason why I'm making a thread for this is because I have a few questions for those who have experience recording Spiral Knights and uploading videos to Youtube.
As you can see, my video has pretty bad graphics, plus the actual screen is sorta small compared to how large it's supposed to be. The same thing happened to my other video I posted a while back.

In my older video, I saved it in average quality on my Windows Live Movie Maker and in my newer video, I saved it as HD quality. Even though I chose the better quality this time, the newer video actually seems even worse than my past one.
Can anyone with experience help me out?
If it helps, I use Fraps to record videos.

If you use windows movie maker...
Gotta make sure the size of the video outputted from WMM is not larger than the size of the original video. 720p is usually the safe route for that resolution.
The 32 stands for 32 bit color I believe, has something to do with the colors on your monitor (forgot exactly what it did, will have to google later...). The 60Hz is the refresh rate, or how fast the image refreshes on your screen. Higher refresh rate makes smoother animations, motion, etc.
Also, nice gunning there. By chance, is that one or two health trinkets you are using?

Afraid I don't know much about video making, though. But 18K damage as a gunner is quite impressive. Good work.

Looking at his HP you can see he has 21 HP, so he's using one penta-heart pendant, and I would assume the other trinket is an elite trueshot module.

32 has to do with the amount and quality of colors used I believe.
60hz is the refresh rate and as I understand this number isnt very relevant to the LCD monitors in use today but had more to do with the older ones that worked off of flickering tubes of some kind.

Viewing the videos Seems the first video you recorder in full screen, and the second video (The older) you record in window mode (desk) cuz the words and the icons seying more big.
ok, fraps it is ok.. if you used fraps and u want the videos look nice in youtube (HD) you must record in Full size, 30 fps.
The program: windows movie maker it is great, done wathever i want to do with him.
For help to you: when you paste a video to movie maker, you must go to Proyecto (I have the program in spanish) proyecto = proyect i think.
and change the view, there are 2 views: panoramic (16:9) and standar (4:3), you must chose the first (16:9) to view your video in full size not with the black around.
For the resolution for record: This give you the looking: not hd (240p, 360p or 480p,), hd (720p) or super hd (1080p)
1.- for the 1080p you must go to "save movie" with high resolution. The size is 1920 x 1080 as minimun
2.- for the 720p you must create a personalize configuration with this size: 1280 X 720 as minimun
3.- for the not hd you can create a personalize configuration with small sizes like 860 X 480 or less
I used the 1280 X 720 size and my videos are uploaded at 720p (HD) cuz I use another program to record and this program record in the same resolution (1280 X 720) and looks nice :)

PD: you new video has the 1080p, soo you save it with option 1, it is ok, all you have to do is change the view to panoramic in movie maker before you converted (16:9) and there will be nice :D

EDIT: Checking out the video on my iPod Touch, it's about perfect. The graphics are good and the screen fits with the iPod screen. Odd...

My gunning style work so much in that, but i dont game gunner too much for my latency dosent hit anybody, i will do a movie :P, but hes style is good to he is prety good, i think tennis is more dangerous with valiance + flourish (Experience playing with him).

Get Sony Vegas (I like 9):
- If you can afford it, buy it.
- If you can't afford it, or if you are cheap... maybe... *cough* use the internet for its second most important purpose.
Windows Live Movie Maker is for 12 year old kids.

Vegas is pretty simple and easy to pick up.
It is more advanced than WMM, but you don't have to use all the complex stuff.

The program used to edit has nothing to do with the game. Just because someone makes a film aimed at kids doesn't mean they use kids programs does it.... No, they use professional stuff.
Only reason to use WMM is if you are incapable of using Vegas.
You like WMM because you are a kid. You could even start putting 009 Sound System songs on all your vids :o

@Strudul There was one video with a Snarby chick with a flower accessory with a BtB soloing Vana that used "A dream within a dream" as the video sound, and Anlyplay (I think that is the YouTube channel) used fortune days in his video about GM Oceanus belong them at vanaduke. There are more that I can't remember though. Also, the only outside sources I've heard using the glitch mob was the Spiderman trailer 2012 (saw it in thwarted-diff one on YouTube) that played "How to be eaten by a woman," and The america's got talent audition Fighting Gravity, which played "Drive it like you stole it.)

Good use of the valiance. Sold mine long ago - forget why. This vid is a good example of why gunners with a valiance out damage me! Good stuff, maybe make a vid of one of your hybrid loadouts. I'm def a fan of the merc one :)

To achieve 720p you need 1280x720 resolution minimun, and for 1080p you need 1920x1080 resolution minimun.
If you have 1280x720 resolution, your video should have good sizing.
I dont know much about Windows Movie Maker, but if you have 1280x720 your video should look good. I would reccomend using Sony vegas and checking this video, its a pretty nice tutorial.
