No, I don't really care too much about it. I often say, man, it would be nice to have the ability to go and help T1/2 knights with their missions though. That would be the only reason for me to get it- but then, why would I pay to help people? :S
Yes. When you're soloing, its like having clairvoyance. You can see exactly where everything is. You know whats going to happen, and you can control it to your will. When you're in a party, your clairvoance is hindered. Now, there is another variable to think about- what your friends will do.

1. No, not an issue since I usually have an elevator pass. Not now, since I am not playing, but hopefully in the future after I see danger missions.
2. Yes, too easy solo. Honestly, too easy period.
3. Not in Spiral Knights. I get on it to start playing, not to farm 1800 CE for a Shadow Key.

No. I go do other things. If I absolutely must play Spiral Knights, I convert some crowns to CE and keep going, or go play Lockdown.
Um. I love PUGs because of the new and interesting people you meet, so I don't find them to be a problem. However, I do often find myself wishing for a little more challenge out of T3 (1 and 2 are fine), and especially hoping that target tracking returns there someday.
Yes. I think this has a lot to do with what I intend to get out of the game. For me, getting more awesome equipment is just an added bonus on top of being able to play a fun game that I genuinely enjoy. With that in mind, I don't really ever need to wait for gratification.

2. I try to adapt my playstyle to support or synchronise with pick-up groups.

What. The first half yes I guess, kinda hard to work with certain people. And when I try to teach noobs how to play sometimes, they more or less ragequit. Except, I rarely play with randoms anymore... Maybe my friend/guildie's friends, but pretty much. The second one, depends on what I fight. I still think beasts have crazy hp. I really need damage boosts.
Depends. Sometimes I get irritated, other times I wait for minutes... like, 20-40 minutes. Chatting away mostly.
