Simply look at the title. How are you supposed to accomplish that mission with out getting mauled. Ive tried soloing it with 2 star gear and I really dont want to purchase 3 star gear because I feel itll break the game for me if I do. I have also had two other players join me with no better results. So any wisdom from the masters of spiral knights on this because I am at a loss.
Grimalkins and 5-2
"I really dont want to purchase 3 star gear because I feel itll break the game for me if I do"
You're in T2. You're supposed to be transitioning to 3* gear.
And look, if you're failing hard with 2*s, it's obvious that 3*s won't break the game for you.
You'll have to buy 3* anyways. 6- missions forces you to make them in the end.
But dont blame just the stars, what about it's intended resistances? are you wearing proper shadow defense?
Ok didnt know 3* was in the near future thought it might be out there a ways yet and as for the Shadow resitant gear I completely forgot about that. There is no limit to amout of stuff i can have right or will I only be to have so much gear in which case I need to be careful with my purchases.
Any positive and non-demeaning feedback will be welcome.
I can help u if u want?
Ign <<<<<<<
Well, Usually I just run through all the Candlestick keep area, they freak me out O.o Idc about cr and heat, I'd rather live O.O
candlestick keep aint that hard... just equip shadow defense, elemntal offense.... and knowing its mechanics will help lots too..
anyway, my ign is here, so call me if you want help and/or havent done the mission already
You run along a long corridor downwards (> 5 seconds), a grimalkin is chasing you, then you see a candle ahead... in the middle of 8 spike traps, and the candle light doesn't reach beyond the traps.
You decided to light it up and dance on the traps... but no, as you approach, a howitzer, two slag walkers and two kats appeared, with the howitzer blocking the path to the candle.
It's the level designers trolling you hard. Camera abuse - you have to walk downwards, you won't see what's gonna happen until it's too late. If you are not solo'ing, the extra grimalkins means you can't even run back up since the long corridor will be completely blocked by them.
Greetings, Wairhua.
I highly recommend that you get yourself a Helmet and Armor that defend against Normal and Shadow Damage at the same time, more so than a Shadow-protective Shield because Grimalkin bites go right through Shields regardless of Shield Health (Shield Health and defensive stats only apply to the Shield itself and not to your armor defense).
I'd be happy to help if we're ever online at the same time and my internet connection allows it. Feel free to send me a Friend request.
whats so hard about it? just get out of their way/make them bite. or maybe you should equip the right gear for keeps..
