I got the CIV recipe (hooray for me)
What should I do to prepare for crafting it? My CIC is level 7 and I have (sadly) 700CE.
I have the crowns and materials to make it though :D
So what should I do?

I don't have something more important to craft.
I wish I had gone with the Ascended Calibur instead of CIC.

What should I do now? Should I switch to Ascended Line? I want Levi :D

Meh just get CIV. You already have the recipe and you already invested on it.
I wish I would have just gotten that instead of leviathan blade.
Sure, Leviathan does more dps to things that aren't undead, but the difference is so marginally small it doesn't make that big of a difference.
Also, there are swords that outclass leviathan in terms of dealing with certain monsters, so I never found leviathan useful. Sure, it isn't as good as an elemental sword in FSC, the CIV, but it's a whole lot more specialized than Leviathan at least, which has trouble dealing with most enemies.
Overall the difference between the swords aren't that big of a deal.

Don't make a 5-star item, unless you really want that 5-star item. More than half of the cost in making a 5-star item comes in the final upgrade from 4-star to 5-star. Thus, even if you're into an alchemy line to the 4-star level already, it's not too late to switch.
My sword guide might help you think about your choices. There's even a specific section for Levi vs. CIV. You should seriously consider getting a non-normal sword as well.

You have the recipe, crowns, energy, and materials. There's nothing to do, other than to heat it up (if you still want to craft it).

CIV is awesome looking. Glad I finally got mine! I like the lower knockback. I hate it when someone Levi's a thingy and knocks is so far away and I have to go chasing after it. Even with freeze, they don't get 3 hits in. With CIV, I can easly 3 hit anything frozen. So, sure, it does less damage. But since I just hit that slime for 3 hits and you got it for 2 with your shiny and boring Levi, I win!
Plus it is awesome looking. If you haven't figured it out yet, this game is all about looks. CIV FTW.

While you get happy with the 3 hits, a full charged combo of a brandish laughs.
Even against a resistant enemy it's 300 from initial swing + another 300 from the following swings, plus some explosions and a status.
Against neutral or weak monsters... bye bye your 3 hits.

Right. Brandish may be great (and I do wish I had one), but they are a totally different beast.
Honestly I'm not sure what the real question of this thread is. Prepare to make it? Um, finish heating it, take a day off so you have enough mist, craft and oggle it's beauty?
Erm, Cold Iron Vanquisher looks cool, but that's it.
Against Undead, Elemental items outclass it (5*).
Against All Else, Leviathan and all else outclass it (5*).
If you have something more important to craft, craft that.
