I have never noticed that
I have never noticed that hole or the crane. I have seen the other ones though.
Arquebus, #10 was those pillars and circles in the login screen. They were explained to be the clockworks mechanism.

"Unlocking" the Golden Key Gates.
You put a Key inside the Lock, but the Lock Never Opens, it just Lowers the Gate.

The fact that in the end of a run, in the results screen, if you mouse over the character with a chapeau, the feather will move with each pass.
