An Idea About Lockdown

Is it just me or has anyone else wished that OOO would implement a way to make your own parties for Lockdown?
It would solve the problems for guilds who don't have enough players to play while still making a more "intense" game than an average random game, which is a reason for many top-notch LD to players to join guilds and participate in GvG action. But not only this, it would introduce new players on teams instead of playing the same people in the same guilds over and over again.
But I do see two problems off the top of my head that this might bring:
1) a really overpowered team could be made that thwarts every other team out there
2) this probably will reduce guild pride as LD was one thing where guilds could be proud of themselves for

I definitely would like to see a new Lockdown based on elimination rather than capturing points. I don't know how well that would work out though. It might make normal LD mostly abandoned if elimination was set up as an another PvP game. Sort of like what happened with Blast Network.

Honestly, I've kind of lost
