Getting the most out of Cutters

Ive been playing around with DVS a bit these days, and it does very well for a normal sword -- fast, effective against heavy and light targets alike, and fast enough to not really require great ASI UVs. I do notice that I land very few of the ghost strikes, however, and hinder my DPS. Are there any tips people use besides exploiting elements and corner rushing? I'd be interested to hear.

Vile Striker used to be my baby

Circle-strafe with the combo, and with the charge: 1) let them walk into your charge attack, or 2) catch them in the sort of sweet-spot; around the apex of the swings. Usually too far to hit you, and typically all hits connect.
Also, to get a better chance of more combo hits connecting, you need to get right up against your target when starting the first slash.

There's not much else other than this, it's really the sword itself that's been broken for forever.

Espeonage nailed it.

Shiver does work wonders with it, vortex not so much. Another way to use the charge, is to goad a group of enemies into attacking, and then go around behind them to attack... you should be able to finish and get in all or most of the hits before they finish attacking and move off.

hehe, I'm using a Striker

hehe, I'm using a Striker with a slight Attack Speed Increase and I love it. Using the Wolver sets to compensate for the damage. In my opinion, getting the most out of the cutter involves attacking immobile enemies (Puppies, Trojans while attacking) and/or pushing enemies into corners, to have them endure the two hits per swing that the Cutter line does.

...

On an unrelated note, Cutters probably have one of the fastest charge times. I've seen a CTR VH DVS, and it was on par with an RSS with CTR VH.

Just got to practice not dying horribly due to the nature of Cutter Charge Attacks.
