Yes. Two massive coin sinks
Yes. Two massive coin sinks were just released:
a) New recipes (+ crown crafting costs for those items)
b) The coliseum. Many enter, but only one wins the entry fees.
At the same time, the deepest, most rewarding levels (emberlight) were just made effectively inaccessible for a large portion of the market, reducing what they were able to pay.
In addition, the market had already been trending downwards in the last week or two, as more new players began to join us. And, of course, there's a holiday that makes it a good time to buy energy and play more.
Also, if you actually monitor the number of buy offers posted at any given time, there were very few, and most were at the same price; thus ANYONE selling a bunch of energy at once would go through every sell offer on the market.
(And before I sound too cocky, I didn't anticipate the bottom falling out as much as it did- so my "low" buy offers were only half the high price, rather than an order of magnitude lower. Heh.)

I'd love to know how you could tell, since only the top 5 offers were showns. For several days, at least 2-3 of them were either mine or I was bought out.
(I bought 7 market trading tickets about a week ago; I'll get 9 more after release, and I like playing the exchange.)
For some reason people try to buy energy at 6k/100.. I mean, don't they realise that the potential seller could earn more than 6k from their 100 energy if they would use it in a dungeon? lol
