I've been around a short while... and only just got the 2nd to last bit of 4* stuff.

My main sword happens to be a Jalovec, and I know there are some stuff with it that doesn't quite make it worthwhile to use: Its slow, and deals less damage. then a sealed sword version.

But what really irks me is I'm in the middle of a swing, some creature attacks me, and the WHOLE swing is canceled, right before hitting them. The second bother that I have, is the interruption on these swords... Basically, it sucks. It needs to knockdown any average sized monster on the second hit, no matter the party size.

Think of it like this: If you actually manage to pick up and swing a sword that is Bigger then you, I don't think getting jabbed in the ribs is going to stop all of that momentum, or that all that momentum wouldn't knock over just about anything.

My Ideas to fix this problem are as follows.

Make the part of the attack that deals damage do it muuuch faster. And make the rest of the time "Recoil" time. This would make the swings actually execute faster then a sealed sword, but have some time where you're vulnerable. (Like an autogun) The DPS and such wouldn't be touched seeing as it would take the same time to use the combo.

The issue with the knockdown might be solved by giving the last hit more of a punch, if damage has anything to do with it... like some threads I've read.
I think that adding 120~ damage at the last depth, on the 5*, on the last swing, should give it enough kick to knock things down.

Also, I find it odd that the sword is Very big, but the shadow thing that follows it and indicated movement does not go all the way to the hilt... It would look nice if you fixed that.

Hrrmmm... I think this is a good first post.

there is already a lot of

there is already a lot of themes about troika line, check search.

i like the slowness of this sword, it looks huge.
but yes, it's stupid that any hit can interrupt your swing, also damage is way too weak.

I generally Agree...

I'd like to not lose the slowness of this massive sword... but getting interrupted when JUST about to kill something is like" WTF was that?"

What's worse...

I'd be happy if the chance to get interrupted didn't get changed, but having the cooldown when you are even though you DIDN'T GET THE SWING as though you had could go.

Losing the attack from it getting canceled when I'm not careful enough is annoying, but reasonable.
More than once, though, I've been killed from full health because one enemy interrupted my second swing, and then more mobbed me while I was recovering from an attack that I didn't get to make before I could swing again, and while the cooldown was happening, I got my first attack interrupted... over... and over... until I can get a shield bump in or switch to a faster weapon.

Cooldown from an attack that was canceled is pretty lame... It makes sense that you still get it when you are shield canceling, but if you get your attack canceled while using a three-swing sword it just resets your combo, rather than act like you made that second attack.

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS

If a Wolver bites you, it's gonna hurt. However, would biting your leg stop your huge claymore mid-swing? No. Would being clawed by a Dust Zombie stop your huge claymore mid-swing? No. Would being prodded by that annoying Skolver clone's toothpick stop your huge claymore mid-swing? No. This really ought to be changed.

Yes please and thank you

This is a serious issue, the sword is usable, but still not viable as a party defender. (which it should be)

you may or may not be new, and if so, im so glad youve brought up an issue that actually is urgent (not to mention relevant) though for future reference, try the search bar first before posting, it makes the forums alot less crammed

Actually...

I think I'll "steal" these Ideas and Put them In my Normal Damage Balance thread.
