So in order to craft a Cold Iron Vanquisher with an undead med UV, I went on to the Auction House to check for caliburs of the right UV. I found but one after weeks of waiting, and placed a bid on it. The buyout was 20K and the bid was 4K, so I decided that it probably wouldn't get that high, and that I could get it cheap. I bid the 4K needed. The time left was at the very long mark, so I waited.
Two days later, I logged in to find my bid at 'Short'. I left the window open, and waited a bit, doing other stuff, but keeping an eye on my bid. A few other people tried to snipe me, but I fought them off easily, going only to 6K or so. Then the bid went to very short, and I had someone else who wanted the item more than I did. We went back and forth, slowly at first, then faster. Pretty soon the bid was at 15K- I didn't want to pay this much! I like my crowns! But I went on, determined to win the bid. At about 17K, they paid buyout.
I hung my head in defeat, and shed a single tear as I looked up caliburs once again, to see if another was ready to be bid on. To my surprise, there stood a calibur with undead med- with a buyout of 5 thousand crowns. +15K.
:P nice always gotta be patient and keep looking
