what armor would be good for gunner with dlc mask?

Was thinking of at least having a gunner type option for play got both sword and bomb built (bomb some what missing 1/2 bombs), but want to try gunner. I Have the dlc mask almost done (need to craft the perfect one), basically i was wondering if i went gunner what armor and modules would be a good combination with the perfect mask? or at least what options would work for dealing lots of damage fast in places like FSC or shadow lair if possible?

As for weapons i got a list of what i need so no problem there just need help on armor

2 Elite Trueshot Module + 1 Shadowsun Slicker for max damage bonus
and swiftstrike buckler for high asi bonus.

Thus, you'll need either ASI : med on your gun to be at ASI : Max, or CTR : med to be at CTR : Max. Or both to have everything to Max.

not really worried about guns

i got a blitz with asi low so it will have med, pepperbox may uv later to have asi up, others i will probably grab starters with asi ups beyond that only trying to figure what to do armor wise, buckler is okay but i found not really good for def if enemys get close or puppy defence from missles or other bullets. but then i guess playing at a constant distance has some advantage. torn between deadshot and shadowsun right now but then still figuring out what to do.

Not really answering your question, but Chaos Set (+med CTR AND med damage for all weapons) is pretty good for guns (and even more valuable if you switch weapon sets often), as is Swiftstrike.

If you work up your skill, you'll get hit less (so the whole defense thing becomes a non-issue), and the ASI boost from swiftstrike gives you the mobility to stay away from attacks instead of leaving you stuck trying to tank them. I run Vanaduke with Chaos/Swiftstrike, and it's great fun, especially since I usually bring a Vortex bomb for support.

If you combine Perfect mask of Seerus, Chaos Cloak, 2 trueshot modules, and swiftstrike you can get get:
gun CTR high [or Ultra, if you factor in a level 10 bonus]
gun ASI Very High
gun Damage Ultra

And low bonus to CTR/damage for everything else.

It's fairly balanced.

I'd pick shadowsun over deadshot. For FSC, they really aren't that different. You don't need the damage bonus for trojans anymore, so the only place you're going to miss it is at vana. Deadshot is better if you're going to bring a brandish or DA though.

Just about everywhere else, however, the shadowsun will be better.

For trinkets, I would pick a trueshot and a focus. Blitz will generally outperform any other gun at FSC, making CTR more important than damage. For a general set, if you aren't using alchemers, two trueshots may be a better idea.

well

i would probably take a warmaster rocket hammer ,voltedge, or DA with me reguardless just so i could knock back enemys and run away. so far all i can see is that deadshot would be good if i was too be the one clearing the slags from FSC which i would take blitz anyways, and 2x elemental guns then a sword for knocking back or dealing with any close range creatures. but then probably make both just for situation purposes i guess idk yet figure out when i get up to 5*. well ty for the help.

been a while

I am playing gunner and realized I don't need any knock back at all and personally I thought gunner (well, not only gunners) will hate any random knock backs since it makes bullets missing. Doing just fine even alone with blitz charge and pushing all 4 button inside 4 big fire traps room in depth 26th. Blitz is both close and far range weapon.
I would rather get both swordie and gunner gears instead of single deadshot. It's more versatile that way.

Deadshot is nice in that it gives 3 levels of bonuses, but doesn't provide a good status defense or good damage to Vana/trojans. I've used my deadshot mantle which I crafted a while back as my shadow armor, and I don't really feel the asi bonus much. (This was back when shadowsun had status weaknesses.) I currently use a gun/bomber loadout. I plan on creating a shadowsun so I can deal more damage to Vana, and have better chance of killing the mask phase in 1 water with good parties.

Here's someone's important opinion on the subject.

But Seerusly, I'd take either Seiran's kind of loadout if you use more than guns, or a Gunslinger armor if you use guns exclusively or almost exclusively. Swifty is good if you can dodge better with a high ASI, but remember- you can't block well with it.

plans so far

make 3* gunner armor: done got freeze med uv yeah me eh its something, and rdy for upgrade as soon as i get 4* recipe figure 5* when get 4* to 10
Module: thinking make damage 2x cause going with deadshot but will decide when i get to upgrading to 5* when i make those
Guns: (what i have and what i am getting).
blitz: done has asi low on it may 2x uv later and keep asi.
Pepperbox: done needs upgrade but working.(want due to somewhat good normal gun and causes fire)
plague needle: as soon as i can spam LD for 4* and 5* recipe start work on that will grab 3* from AH if i can find one if not i will grab good autogun with uv and spam for all 3 recipes.
sentenza: start soon as kill JK 3x.
argent: make after sentenza.
Polaris: start as soon as find recipes that is if basil stop failing.
biohazard: same as polaris but first need to kill roam twins 3 more times.
Alchemers(back up guns): thinking frost, shadow, and fire (my go shock instead of fire not sure which one yet think when i get to it).

out of your choices, make plague needle be the last priority. The damage is still horrible, compared to blitz even with poison proc.
alchemer is more useful than you might think. If you know what to target when spamming charge, you may learn to like it more.
However, only 5* alchemer can split 1 charge to 4 bullets (which means the lower stars alchemer are sucking at charge).
Also, weapon switch with shield cancel on two alchemers is mad fun.
Pure damage alchemers is something to be considered since it may or may not exceed status effect alchemers.
On my observation, pure damage > status effect.
Personally, polaris is the most garbage junk weapon that I want to throw it away far away from clockworks. It's just not party friendly and damage is mediocre compared to blitz and alchemer series. Though, I still spam polaris on lockdown sometimes and still use it when for swordie back up, oh well.

as first its LOGIC cuz it is 3*,if y have blitz and doing vana much,bucler is good. gotta love tha buffs ya get from it

what is happening now

i was going to do plague as a later gun cause i need to be able to spam LD (that will take a while) and have not found a good autogun or a toxic needle, did find a good shadowtech MK ii with asi and gremlin damage uv (may switch the gremlin later cause it low and not really needed), thinking find 3-4 alchemers for a secondary gun or just for backup. but its been slow since finishing heating a couple things (DA, Skolver, blackend crest i got from AH which is not going to take long at 5-6 now) so its pretty much a side thing to do also heating couple guns i got at 4* like Silver, blackhawk, gigawatt, and virulent catalyzer (trying to do 1-2 at same time) as soon as done sword things may switch to full gunner.
