K I'm wondering what would be better in terms of saving money for getting UVs

* Buy the first UVs that I'd like by repeating 20k cr and then 2 UVs and keep the first one then 3 UVs and keep both the 1st and the 2nd one.

OR

* Buy the 3 UVS and go from there from 1st UV to 2nd UV to 3rd UV

or any other suggestions?

Halp.

DERP?!

The 1st is better I think is better but really depends how rich (shopaholical) you are

But for me, I prefer to get clean ones.

negating the status weakness of Chaos Cloak through UV

sorry, this is a little silly. but i cant seem to find the button that allows me to start a new post. anyway, as the subject says
- is it not possible to negate the status weakness of Chao Cloak through UV bonus (ie med resistance against shock, fire, poison and freeze)
eg double medium resistance for shock and fire for hood & a double medium resistance for poison and freeze for cloak - just wondering...

Pedogabe and Leeroyj

Pedogabe:

First, if you want one specific UV, then you should buy one-UV tickets. Sure, a two-UV ticket gives you twice as many chances to get that one UV, but it costs more than twice as much as a one-ticket UV, so it's not worth it (in terms of the expected payoff, from probability theory).

Second, if you want two (or three) specific UVs, you should adopt your first strategy. Do one-UV tickets until you get one of the UVs you want. Then, and only then, start spending on two-UV tickets, keeping the first UV locked of course.

Leeroyj:

A single piece of Chaos gear comes with five -2 (Medium) status penalties. You can negate up to three of these by having up to three Medium status UVs. You can't negate all five using just three UVs, of course.

If you had two pieces of Chaos, then you'd have five -4 (Maximum!) status penalties. If one had three Maximum! UVs and the other with two Maximum! UVs, then you could negate all five -4 penalties.

OMG !

Hello Bopp, thank you so much for pointing it out !

i made the mistake of thinking the five status penalty was summed across the hood and cloak. as u clearly pointed out, its actually FIVE -4 (maximum!) penalties !!! sigh. thats just way too depressing. i actually bought a magic cloak item with a medium and high resistance (maybe poison and shock) - its really tough to buy even a 2 med resist from AH. yet, as a hybrid player (occasionally sword, gun and a bomb), the bonus from chao cloak is so tempting. ...

As a Hybrid...

Pick the two you like the most, and get their armours.
If you like all three equally, make up for the third with trinkets (assuming you are at 5* by then). Until then, pick the two most useful (eg. not demo set for fiends).
Forget about UVs - they're far too expensive.

TRUE STORY:
I made a Flourish with a Construct Low UV. Upgraded it, but chose not to keep the UVs.
Got Construct Low and Beast High UVs on a Swift Flourish!

Thanks bop.

Yeah, thanks guys, but for those who are confused as to buying the 3 ones first, I'd be getting 3 then if i get the good one, 3 and keep one and blah...

Thanks bopp I think I'll take your advice!
