Many guilds love to play lockdown. So thats why i think we need a lockdown tournament. Not one of those player made ones however, but i mean an official one hosted by OOO. Any guild should be able to join. We can have several ones each year! Just saying though, if you win this tournament, YOU ARE NOT THE BEST GUILD IN SK!!!!!!!! This is mainly an idea sent to OOO, but i want you knights to give your thoughts on this too! This will increase the popularity of ld and earn some lesser known guilds some respect(and this is coming from a knight whose guild was mentioned a few times in those top guild threads). If this tournament is official, it means that guilds can play against each other in the tournament without having to do it again(you cant guarantee who your guild faces off agaisnt) and will be way more organized. Please send back nice polite responses as im sure at least a few people will reject this idea.
We need an official ld tournament
Perish the thought; it works well in one view, but in the end it'll just fuel egos and people will still say 'WE'RE THE BEST GUILD' even if it explicitly says you aren't if you win.
Normally I'd say yes, even though I'm not a GvG player...but...
I've recently become aware of certain thoughts drifting around, and some guilds, namely the Jempire, if they won, would get a hellotmore rage, being accused of ce reviving etc, regardless of if they did or not.
"The Jempire won"
"Pfft, must'a ce reved"
"Probably"
etcetc.
With this in mind, I can't say anything positively to this idea, sorry.
well, i was thinking OOO could change some rules a bit, like no CE revs for example
This game is played aroudn the world, wich already raises 2 main issues, each with their own extra problems:
-time zones
-location --->lag
If it's official, it has to be done right and give everyone the same chances.
Or let me guess, you were thinking a one-sided US tournament while leaving the rest watching and raging (or lagging and failing).

Save us from getting complains like those.
You all raise good points.
@Psycho: To avoid calls of "Pay-to-Win" we can easily disable or limit CE reviving in a tournament.
@Juances: Separating the tourneys by location would be a good idea, if OOO can't add an Asian/Australian server anytime soon.
OOO disabled the CE revs, They can do it. It can be done.
Got my butt handed to me... but they never walk into BN it seems... :P
Wonder why.
True...
They probably don't go into BN because they probably find it too boring. Walking around and laying bombs all the time.
Just because they can do it, doesn't mean they will. It's a potential source of income for them, and it seems like they're willing to jeopardize the quality of gameplay with a laughable money grab mechanic no other multiplayer game developer would even think about implementing.
Yo Doc, I just remembered something...
" To avoid calls of "Pay-to-Win" we can easily disable or limit CE reviving in a tournament."
/Used my Rocket Hammer in LD (test-run to see how it was/if it was really as badass as people said)
"Pay to win"

DLC was a gift from Iron, so I'm still TECHNICALLY F2P, P2P only by status, not in deed.
Actually, prior to the disabling of the invulnerability period after being hit (which I hope was a bug), the hammer was an average weapon. With the 3 hits from the dash unable to all connect at once, its damage output was actually on par with that of a 5*brandish. It was outclassed in damage by the Gran Faust/Divine Avenger, and much slower than Toothpicks. Using it effectively at higher levels of competitiveness against skilled opponents actually does require skill/good judgement. Most people, including myself, actually prefer the Sealed line for its higher damage output.
I've been kinda starting to hate high-level GvG games, largely because of the polaris. If there are enough players using it at once, any match becomes just one massive spam-fest. GvG is largely based on computer preformance (can your comp work with twelve explosions and seven players on screen at once?), gear, and connection, and hence this kind of thing will just degrade into a spam-fest, of all brands of weapon. If we were to do something like ban trollaris/reduce number of players this could work, though.
In short, lockdown is only really enjoyable when there are few players involved, or when most of the players don't have a clue what to do and are hence practically not there.
I know I'm not on the same level as the top players, but I can't imagine meeting polaris wall after polaris wall is gonna be fun for them either. Unless spacebar turns out to be right about the sunshards thing, which would really be just as bad.
And then there's the issue with gear inequality. And connection inequality. And lots of other stuff.
Edit: An option for the gear inequality thing would be to move the whole thing to t2 and ban UVs
Meh, being able to control the matches with player made rooms would be better. You could spectate matches and host your own tournaments that way. You could also have your own rules, such as "No spawn locks" or "No Polaris". To keep from farming for coins, there could be no coins from these matches and the cost could be lowered/removed.
YES.
Me, Tsu, and some other people in T0 would then be far more motivated to come up with some out-of-the-blue hipster loadout that somehow steamrolls Skolver strikers into the ground. I've already come up with ideas. Bring on the tourney!
Also, a BN Tournament would also be good, to bring people back to Blast Network.
