Unable to log in with Steam

When I clicked on the Spiral Knights shortcut that goes through Steam and it tried to log on I get an error that says "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a

moment before reconnecting." I thought it was just the servers, but then I redownloaded the client from the official SK website and ran that. At first I tried to log in with my Steam account, which didn't work. So I made a new account (this one) and logged in just fine. When I tried posting with the other account it wouldn't let me set a display Knight, so I'm using this one to post. Are the Steam servers just down? Have I lost that other account forever? Please help me out.

TL;DR I can't get Steam SK to work, but Regular SK does. What's going on?

Must the the steam servers (again)

add -tcp to your target in your steam shortcut properties.

And thats why everyone should use the facebook trick to login without the steam client and avoid these problems.
