After the June 6th patch, I went right into king of Ashes mission and despite full reception bars I and my two teammates experienced skip lag of approximately 2 to 4 seconds in duration very frequently. Estimate 60% of playtime skipping, we slogged to the 1st elevator and the game froze up entirely, displaying title message in task manager.
Java Platform SE Binary is not responding
Yep, same problem. Got that same error message too when I tried to quit.
I had the same problem, 3 min. ago i was doing king of ashes with many lags that was infernal. it was impossible to play correctly without die and the game just froze up same at you. (sorry for my bad english =/). i swear sega or OOO will find something for that.
Kijana.
Game kept freezing for several seconds for me too, especially when damage numbers were displayed.
It even totally freezed and ended up using 100% of one of my 2,9 GHz Cores.
I assume you programmed a infinity loop in your game, since i couldn't end it normally via my system manager (using Linux) and had to kill the process...
It just repeated for me as I was helping a Guildie with the Prestige mission (I had already completed it earlier post patch and no problems)
Increasing Latency followed by Java crash, this time in the middle of the level. Also, It prohibits me from logging back on for approx. 5 minutes afterward.
PS. I'm not on Steam.
just adding i am freezing on steam cause it is crashing
I am so happy I'm not the only one. I thought my computer is turning against me then :P
Ok, this is a big problem. Ive tried running spiral knights in fix mode so i can check problems with coding, and it seems in the first line of code (first read on starting up of game), there is not one infinity loop, but 4 infinity loops (according to my fixer), and these will retry connection and the last action u did every 15 seconds. Just gonna wait until new update then run fixer again to see the changes.
Sounds like an attempt for heartbeat monitoring connections. ._.
I already had this 2 times today, it seems that Java will stop working if the memory use becomes above an x amount. Java is also taking up an average of 1.500.000kB...-_-
Just someone confirming your problems ... The game keeps crashing, lagging and other unpleasant things since yesterday's patch.
well i to can confirm that its close to impossible playing LD or anything else except of Idle in Haven..
so now i lose Coins, playtime, and my amplifiers are running out of time ;o
Every time I tried to open the 'By Category' tab in Auction House or 'Controls' in Option, this happened and the game froze.
Re-installing the game seems to solve the problem, but it turned out the same after several hours of gameplay. :/
Half quit for now because of that.
I keep getting that annoying "Java Platform SE Binary is not responding" message when i try to go into arcade mode
Just as Blueswordwarrior said, I have the same problem when going into Arcade mode. It would go up to 96% and then freeze.
Ah so its not only me eh? whats with this?
Has annyone found a solution for this yet??? i've been having this problem causing the game to crash on a number of occasions. currently my game crashes each time i:
- click on "by category" in the auction house
- try to open the shop to sell gems
- try to customise controls
- press alt + shift
The same thing is happening to me every once in a while. This started after I downloaded the same patch you downloaded and the game just crashes without reason. Don't know what could be causing this, I was looking at auction prices while in Haven. Good luck trying to figure this out.
Edit: I also want to say that Spiral Knights is using 1.2Million kb of memory, I think before this was half but don't understand why its so high now >_<
