It's about lag and how you can spam these weapons into a group and they wouldn't be able to dodge.

Although I think that using AT in LD isn't necessary, I wasn't complaining about AT.
I don't know if you play LD often,, but this recent patch included another funny fail to it on top of the lag/stuttering problems..
When a knight was hit and damaged by something, there was a short interval of "invulnerability," which made items like cutter, AP, and other rapid combo hitters unable to hit consecutively.
With this recent patch, (I don't know if OOO intended this but I pray that they didn't), they took out that aspect of mechanics..
That said, go have fun with ur cutter, go victimize an unfortunate Guardian with a blitz charge, pew pew laser those pesky strikers with AP, and get much enjoyment out of this silly bug.

If that argument were brought up, I would normally suppose that AT would allow the user to lock onto said target and fill it full of bullets in a second, instead of trying to aim and end up missing.

An explanation would've been so much more practical that telling me how silly I am. As someone who hardly plays LD, this information would not be apparent to me, and the only other assumption I could make on a thread with the words 'AT/AA' WOULD be this one.
In any case, I apologize for making the wrong assumption.
However, you would do better to explain what you mean to someone who obviously is not 'in' on the topic.

This isn't an auto target rage thread. Hit invulnerability was disabled in lockdown, therefore standing still and using sentenza/AP/blitz needle with AT on = turret mode = hilarity ensues.
I do hope this was unintentional though.

Why you should not bring these weapons
Cutter line: Madness in a random line, people pwn you while your in your spree.
Autogun line: Cant move therefore enemies attack you from behind.
Antigua line:Actually quite good!(Use one myself and with skill it rules)
Other:AT= nooby guy.Proves you have no skill

@Thrillhaus I did say I was sorry for missing the point initially. I don't really play LD, and haven't actually played since the recent patch, so I made the wrong assumption.
Although, with further explanatory posts on this thread already, I agree Dialgia's post WAS 'off'.

AT whiner = not pro enough to beat someone 'legitly' who's utilizing things better than you.
AT proves nothing. Makes it easier to play for some, yes. Allows people to spam the attack button aimlessly, no.
In my current mood, saying one more thing about 'Noskilling' with AT, and I will be very annoyed. Discriminating players/people for puny reasons like these irritates me immensely.

I don't usually play LD, me being someone who'll get his posterior handed to him on a silver platter unless he gets lucky with his timing for 20 seconds or less.

I think this is actually a good thing
If what the OP said is true, then I'll actually be kind of happy that Polaris will have two more potential competitors, and that we'll have another viable sword that's not BTB/FF, DA/GF, hammer, and the brandish-line. (I'm not complaining about them!)
Now they just need to somehow make the spur-line powerful, then every sword would be viable in LD,

The problem is that while hit invulnerability was disabled, hit stun was not. Therefore as soon as you are hit by the first hit, you are stuck on the spot unable to respond to subsequent attacks. You'll change your mind when you are one-shotted by most combos.
