Introduction
Ok. So I've noticed many trolls on forums lately (I must say, I may have trolled a bit, but really who hasn't). This is a project to "save the forums". Now I know we can't abolish trolls from the forums. And we can't completely get rid of Ce threads. And we can't destroy pet threads. But we CAN help lower the amount of these threads.
Trolls
We all have trolled at some point. Either when we were new to the forums or when we were making a joke thread or spamming for the fun of it. Now, the population of trolls has been increasing rapidly. Ways to lower the amount of trolls:
*Trolls can stop before they post. They can Stop, Think, Decide, Act. Before a troll posts, he/she can stop. Think about what they are posting. Decide whether it will annoy other players and embarrass themself. And finally, act once they have decided whether their post is worth posting.
*Trolls can try to not spam.
Ce Threads
Well, this has been a problem for a long time. But because of the raise in price for 100ce and the increase in troll activity, the amount of these threads and those related to it has risen. Ways to get rid of most of these ce threads:
*USE THE SEARCH BAR. I cannot stress this enough. And I know Psychodestroyer knows what I mean. Countless times I see him telling people to use it. If you type Ce or Ce prices in the search bar, I guarantee you will find many threads with that subject.
*Once you have looked up ce threads in the search bar, post in them instead of creating a whole new thread. If all of the people who are concerned with ce prices post together in one big thread, your pleas may be noticed and taken into account. But if we continue creating so many threads involving ce, the GMs will ignore it and condemn it as a troll thread.
Pet Threads
Well, all you pet-lovers out there, this is for you. We all know you want your pets in SK. But is it worth it creating so many threads asking for pets? Ways to make the amount of Pet related threads decrease:
*As I have said before, USE THE SEARCH BAR. You will see many pet threads. Many, many threads requesting for pets.
*Instead of making a new pet thread, post on one of them. Get any other pet-lovers to post on that one thread. Maybe it won't be ignored anymore.
*Think about pets. Are they worth it? What would pets do other than show how rich you are to other people? Having them fight with you would pretty much turn this game into a Diablo game. So what would they do? Think about that.
Final Things to Say
So, having all these things put into effect would cause a much healthier, worth-looking-at forums. Anyone else who wants to comment with ideas that would make this better or reasons why this thread is unreasonable, please post.
I am ready for all the negative attention I am about to receive.

Saving the forums = cutting out threads?
So, from what I'm seeing here, you (Artist) believe that the best way to save our forums is for people to think more and post less threads on topics that are already delved over enough on....I think that you have a good idea, but:
1. It is unlikely that people will stop doing this on the forums - SK has such a diverse player base in terms of ages and maturity levels that it is very difficult to get a system to function like clockwork (see what I did there?...). Many players even conscientiously post negative things on the forums because they are working to do bad things...and that is an idea all in itself.
2. The really sad thing is that people will try to bring this idea down with negativity, just because everyone can be cynicial of something that they aren't sure of. I know that this is a great and wonderful goal, but it is difficult to achieve alone.
However, the one person you have control over is yourself. We all can't control others, but we can all attempt to make a concious decision when we are posting on the forums - this is the reason that I rarely ever post, unless I have something I consider highly important to say. I think the true point you have behind this is that we should all be more conscientious while posting on the forums overall, or at least consolidate our crazy methods and techniques.
Either way, keep believing, Artist! You have some good ideas in that head of yours, and it is good to promote awareness...I fully support your idea!

Good ideas.
Well, trolls are going to be trolls, which means that they won't stop. It's good to see some people out there who care about keeping the forums clean.

However, as Dukeplatypus said, the odd joke thread is OK. Not about sixteen, though.

Kanoka, I fully understand what you mean.
I agree this goal will be hard to achieve. I know it is gonna be a hard run. But, if we all just think a bit more, it could make a huge difference. I must say I very do agree with you. I think you put a ton of thought into that post.
I know I can't do this alone. So what say we all do our part?

Its sad however,
If there is no consequence to trolling people will be trolls, if somehow OOO make a strict rule against trolling which result in maybe banning or something most people who would troll would probably stop trolling.

I believe that these forums are dead, with the GMs posts the only things worth reading.
Its dead. And no amount of CE can revive it. Just give up. Threads like these sound good, but the people you call out dont read them. They dont listen. They only continue making posts that are the same.
And the people that are "good" on the forums post in those threads anyway. You can't stop it, and it will never end.
The forums are simply not good anymore, and the GMs making these events show that even they are trying to keep it alive, even though the fact is that it is gone.

Speaking on Batabii, I really want to go ad hominem on that bastard because I have some great dirt on him, but I'm not sure if he even still reads the forums and I'm too proud to break the forum rules. The most I'll say is that SK is not the only site/game he has a reputation on.

While I wish this would happen, I really don't think this will happen. A new problem as of late that's affecting us is how this game's doing. No one's taking it seriously anymore after these streams of nerfs and ridiculous promos (seriously, the fact that something so phallic was put into the game shows how little thought's being put into some of these new items). I'm sure the devs have some nice content coming down the line (though it's probably rapped in safety-padding), but they need the money, hence the promos. There's also that other game they're working on. Every time I think about it, I have to stop myself and do a 'reality-check' (A Doctor Who MMO? Is that... are they actually? Yeah, okay, they are.).
Other common threads involve dual-wielding, healing, and boss-suggestion-threads that have just stolen from previous boss-suggestion-threads (Seriously, if I see ONE more Devilite CEO boss suggestion...).
But negative attention is still attention! And THAT. Shows they care.
Anyway. You are correct. IF this happened it would be awesome. And I have only ever said 'UP THE CE PRICES!' on a few of those CE threads but I personally shall think before I post.
