this is a version of the Alpha Squad's disappearance.....

CHAPTER ONE: THE CORE

*elevator reaches Core just after Vanaduke....* "Whew! Good thing he's gone. What is supposed to be here, again?" says Euclid. Parma says," I think I just found out.. come here, and hurry!" *they sprint over to Parma and look over the edge.* "The Core! mission accomplished! Now where's that little "open" button?" says Grantz. *shadows start coming alive as Parma described in module* "We are in the Shadow Lairs, and this is supposed to happen. But why now?!?!?! Man, time to get workin' and fast!" says Rulen. *Rulen pulls out his comp and starts to open the core* Meanwhile, Parma, Grantz, and Euclid take on the monsters of the Swarm. Rulen got enveloped in it and by the time Grantz freed him, his body was badly burned. "K'mon guys, to the elevator! We're going in the core!" says Euclid. They get on the eleator, and descend........

Fictional? This could be correct. There is no proof that it is fictional or non-fictional so it belongs in GD.

If the devs themselves haven't confirmed it, then it's FICTIONAL.

You even got it wrong.

They never even got to the SLs. They just popped down to the core and then some lingering Swarms attacked them, then the core opened and the entered to escape(as summarised via the Modules).
