Does some of these places look extremely fun to play in? I want to fight some of those old mobs. :(
Discuss anything and everything as seen in this video below!
Is it just me, or...
Yes to enemies, but most maps i see are just a huge emptiness...
I remember the spiral fortress level shown in that video. It was evil.
I do miss the tortodrone boss level, the super-cool Vog battle, and twelve foot tall jellies that fragmented into smaller foes upon dying. On the other hand, gold gun puppies and gold Trojans (in treasure levels!) made for a scary experience indeed.
Devs. Make a Hardcore Arcade to the Right of Haven.
Must be Full 5* to enter.
Must have defeated all the shadow lairs.
Add back in everything from beta and Prievew there, along with the stuff you're working on that we can see in Spiral Spy.
I was VERY sad when I saw the words "No Grinding" flash on the screen.
Maybe it's just me, but I really like large, expansive battle fields. Maybe it's because of the 'claustrophobic' rooms I have to deal with otherwise that make these so attractive. Fill 'em with mobs and away I go!
@Pauling
Yes, I would very much like to experience these things, as I just missed out on the preview/beta/pre-release stuff by a small margin. They look like a lot of fun, and I very much believe they were!
I would also like to add, how would you like a return of the click-deploy bombs? From what I know, bombs didn't always use to be charge-only, and previously could be deployed by a single click of the mouse. I'm not thinking Nitronome-level bombs hogging every single tile of the map here, but rather tiny bombs as shown in the video. What kind of trickery could we do with such tools in this modern age? I'm also having this land-mine concept swirling around my head in association with this, though that would most likely become just another standard charge-bomb. Anyway, back to my train of thought, what could be done with click-deploy bombs today? Is there a possibility that they could make a comeback in one form or another?
^Look at the text at the end of the video.^
+1 to #4's idea, but I think there should be no requirements to go in, but there are still all the extra enemies and Beta features, etc. I'd like to see a Tortodrone one of these days.
And, no, it isn't because I'm all 3* and they (used to) drop a 4* shield.
The crazily large room filled with breakable blocks looks fun. Possibly even the corridor of timed exploding blocks - anyone else for a racing minigame? If you are caught in the blast of any one cube, you die. Random bombs spawning about every 20secs. Speed powerups similar to BN, and no, the merc sets don't have the speed bonus.
No weapons, no shield. Or, maybe, one weapon like the Antigua, but does no damage to players.
