Just curious.
PSO2 Open beta june 15th, who else will jump ships?
4. It's Japanese. Not a smart idea asking the English forum if they're gonna play a Japanese beta. Ask again once there's an English localized version.
2. Blade and soul and PSO2 the only good F2P mmos I see coming out (or if you know others I'm all ears). Guild Wars 2 is also good but not F2P.
3. It's open beta, not closed beta. Meaning characters won't be erased.

It being a japanese server does not exclude non-japanese players from playing in it. There's no IP-restriction. News is news, and I'm asking who else is jumping ships to the japanese server.
Planetside 2, Path of Exile, I think I forgot one.
Torchlight 2 isn't f2p, but it's pretty cheap and really good.
What is with all these Diablo-style mmos coming out all of a sudden. >.>
Because the genre's popular, and Diablo 3 really wasn't that good. Torchlight's just more fun to play, 1/3 the price, and has LAN-support and offline (gasp!) single player. I really can't say much about Path of Exile myself, but people seem to like it and say it's "what Diablo 3 should've been if the same guys from 2 made it". Runic Games, the studio that made Torchlight, has a fair amount of former Blizzard North employees, the guys who made Diablo 2.
Actually, the open beta doesn't start June 15th, the pre-open beta does. The pre-open beta is a test to make sure there's no more server issues and if everything goes smoothly the actual open beta will start immediately after the pre-open beta ends.
The catch is that pre-open beta characters will be wiped when open beta starts, but open beta characters will transfer to the release.
Anyway, I was in the closed beta and had a lot of fun so I'll definitely be playing in the open beta.
(I'm not abandoning SK for it like the title suggests, I'll still make time to check out new updates and such)
I dont remember this game getting a localization for north america. This will defenitely get localized but Im pretty sure not in these early stages. If its japanese I wouldnt enjoy it cuz no one would really talk english & menus are a HUGE part of PSO since you need to go through youre invetory and feed youre mag ect. I cant wait for this game but if its japanese beta I defenitely wont be playing.
The REAL open beta starts this Thursday, aka June 21st.
And yes, the only language supported in open beta is Japanese.
If you cannot communicate with Japanese players, please make your characters on Ship 2. PSO World and many other communities have christened it the unofficial English ship, so your chance of meeting English-speaking players is much greater there.
It's Japanese, which means I'll have a better server connection on it than I ever did on Spiral Knights. Hmmm…
1. Gremlin Chatter
2. Dammit, why are there so many good f2p MMOs coming out?! It's too many good choices...
3. It's a beta, which means that it could very much be open for about 2-3 weeks before closing to be developed for the release.
