damage, damage, damage

If you haven't already, read the wiki page "Damage".

There you will learn that slimes (most denizens of Royal Jelly Palace) are vulnerable to shadow damage, and constructs (most other denizens of RJP) are vulnerable to elemental, and silkwings (the only other thing in there) are vulnerable to piercing and resistant to shadow. So your main weapon should be a shadow weapon, such as Acheron, Gran Faust, Umbra Driver, Sentenza, Biohazard, Dark Retribution, or Graviton Vortex. Your secondary weapon should probably be elemental.

Levi/CIV has a nice charge attack, that does a lot of damage to the Royal Jelly, even though the damage is normal. But I recommend that you focus on non-normal weapons. Since you're working on Umbra Driver, consider getting an elemental sword?

Your armor is great, because slimes deal piercing damage, and your armor gives a bonus to your swords.

trade out

For anyone who uses swords, a Barbarous Thorn Shield is far superior to an Aegis, due to the offensive bonus. Hence Juances' advice, with which I agree.

I think we shouldn't go that

I think we shouldn't go that far...Barbarous Thorn Shield, Acheron, Gran Faust, Umbra Driver, Sentenza, Biohazard, Dark Retribution, or Graviton Vortex...They are all 5 star stuff and we are talking about not even a full gear of 3 star. So, be realistic, at this stage, the best sword for you is nightblade or slient nightblade (if you can afford) to kill the Royal Jelly.

By the way, I saw a nightblade that has a UV which is bonus vs slime HIGH and it was selling at $100,000 (which must a very good sword against JK). But does it worth the price?

With your current gear, I

With your current gear, I think it is pretty hard to defeat the Royal Jelly. But, you can kill the snarbolax from rank mission and you will get about 2k each time. Or whatever mission which goes deepest in T1 (the deeper you go, the more money you earn).

Another good way is to craft some 3 star stuff like dusker coat and xxxburst brandish etc. Like, you use 100 mist energy and 100 ce(about 8k cr) plus 1k cr and a 2 star gear(about 1k cr) which are about 10k in total. Then you can sell it at like 17 ~ 18k and you'll gain approx. 7 ~ 8k. For the first time you will have to buy a recipe that cost you 4k but that's for the first time only. So, you'll make 8k per day by crafting.

think about 5-star stuff, not 3-star stuff

"They are all 5 star stuff and we are talking about not even a full gear of 3 star."

Sorry for the confusion, but when I say "Acheron", I mean "the swords leading up to Acheron: Brandish, Nightblade, Silent Nightblade, and Acheron". I talk in this way for two reasons. First, we can refer to the entire sword line with one name. Second, players should plan their equipment based on the 5-star items they want, not the 3-star items. That way, they don't get stuck in dead ends (e.g. Winmillion) or at 5-star items they don't want. Lower-star items are just temporary steps to getting to 5-star. (There's one exception: items for Tier-2 Lockdown.)

Toxicpancakes, there's a thread right now (and many threads in the past) about getting money: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/56079.

More efficient way to get

More efficient way to get crowns...

1.) Hunt recipes like Pulsars, Sealed Sword line, Snarby Weapons and Antigua lines in the Arcade and then sell them in the Auction House. These thing give profit about 5,000cr - 7,000cr

2.) Make alternative accounts to craft you Weapons or Armor like Brandishes, Flourish or Wolvers. Give your alts the cr and mats they need and they will use their ce to craft the items for you.

3.) You can also grind bosses like Snarby,RJP, IMF or FSC.. < This is what people usually do... =.='
