That ghastly, ripped grin, the flaming eyeballs, the murderous scars?
Don't you think so?

Wait... Pepperkats...? What happened to Grimalkins?
They don't LOOK scary....
No ripped mouth or flaming eyeballs DX
It's the default position that all kats have. Indeed, if you look them up on spiral spy, grimalkin isn't even close to being the scariest thing there. I don't remember if Mewkats do it too, but I don't want to check.
Edit: Oh, pepperkats are the fire kats. I don't really care to remember the name of the status varients.
T3 kats are a whole lot more troublesome to deal with swords, compared to T2 kats. T3 kats act much more frequently, and their dash has a longer range.
With T2 kats you can easily pin them down with a heavy blade (e.g. DA), keep swinging to interrupt and kill them in a combo or two (depending on party size and gear). T3 kats would float away before you can finish.
The easiest way is to use shock against them (Voltedge, Polaris, Voltaic Tempest, Electron Vortex and Storm Driver). The shock will stop them from floating around.
Why do people think Shock over Freeze most of the time? I saw this on the wiki when advising how to deal with Slag Guards.
Shock is unreliable and sporadic. Freeze is reliable in a sense that if something is frozen, it will not move unless it gets unfrozen. Freeze a Kat, and you rob it of its most effective weapon, speed (Same principle works with Strikers in LD btw. Shock is only better there because Skolvers have Freeze Resist... even then, Glacius Charge Spam can take down the best Strikers :P )
In response to Traevelliath:
Well some could consider shock as a mix of freeze and fire. It deals tick damage over time, and for each tick, the enemy is locked in place, and their move is usually cancelled.
It pretty much 50/50 choice and preference (yep, pulling that old argument)
I have the 4* VT and the 3* Shiver. Plan on getting both up to 5* eventually, but Shock has a more wider range of use throughout the boss stratas. (Good for RJP and Vana, whereas shiver is more FSC oriented, and AoA more for RJP)
Idk. /shrug
Shock over freeze for kats because once you start hitting that frozen kat, it is free to float away... with shock, it will be stopped in its track by the next tick.
The SHEER FORCE of the Shadow damage is completely terrifying, even with proper defense, they hit HARD, and that Fire status is no walk in the park either...
