Shadow Lair Mission?

Greeting Fellow Knights!

Have you ever wanted to face the Rabid Snarbolax or the Ice Queen? Do you even know what they are? Im suggesting on Fathers Day weekend or on Halloween or somthing that they either make Shadow Lairs free or have a mission for them. Plus, certain armours and other 5* gear can ONLY be made at the Sanctuary which is at the end of the Shadow Lairs. You decide, post your opinon and please, no rude comments!

Want to do a Shadow Lair? Buy the key.

Making them free would be horrible, even if it was only for a few minutes.

Having a mission would remove the purpose of having access to them through the Clockworks only. Which means no.

Considering the crafting machine in there does not require recipes but other equipment does, no; it would mean removing a crown and energy sink.

Everything about this thread deserves the rudest comments possible. Unfortunately I am not in the mood. Normally I would crack down on this while eating crackers. With peanut butter. And ham.

Giving out free shadow lairs is not the point of shadow lairs. Shadow Lairs is where you have to pay to get harder content. If it was the mission, I would suggest having the shadow key as a requirement, but that would then mean everyone in the party would have to bring a shadow key.

Shadow Keys aren't worth it

Shadow Keys will have to eventually die if Mission Mode wants to keep going with the story, no one will buy those keys to continue with the story. The only way this could be avoided would be to make those missions (the visit of a Shadow Lair) unable to be repeated.

Also, the Shadow Key concept is flawed in itself due to the current price if you compare it with the energy trade of Expansion Missions, as you can play EMissions infinite times once bought, and SLair only once. They aren't worth it, at all.

So, what OP is saying WILL happen eventually if Mission Mode updates eventually.

The only way that this could be "viable" would be a single viable key which is non-tradable, collected as a prequil mission award. And then have the party locked as soon as the mission begins.

About the mission thing...

I think that would be a REALLY BAD idea,because people can spam the heck out of the mission,but it would be better if EVERYONE needs the shadow key,for
the trolls (:D))

Why not just hit 1 card with 2 stones?

Here is a better idea. What if we'd take both and add them together? What I mean is:
- Give the Shadow Lair missions
- In order to do the missions, you need a Shadow Key.

Reasoning for this is because you have to travel to Basil halve way through the Arcade in T3. That's a waste of energy if you don't have an elevator pass. A mission that would teleport you to the 4 gates, in which you need a Shadow Key to open them is more convenient, if you ask me.

... Not like the Shadow Lair concept is perfect or anything, but I guess it would help at least a bit. xD

only problem i see

too many new people will ask or try to enter quest and ruin the run because they are ill-prepared or because they think they can get a free snarby armor if they fallow and do not contribute to the run. example: a person walking into ready room and they are wearing armor that the monsters have to sneeze on them for them to die. or my favorite think they they can go in with just one person and try to rush everyone else.

i do think there should be a shadow lair type mission where it gets a player use to how a shadow lair run is basically give them a mission with shadow lair monsters in it so they can get a feel for it. or at least add a shadow lair area to the advance training hall

the only way i could see this ever working is if u start the mission and at the ready room with the lifts there should be a gate in front of the lifts with a guard that will not let u pass unless u are wearing 5* equipment and there are 4 players at a certain rank (like champion or vanguard), plus u had to give him the key. beyond that i doubt a shadow lair mission would happen.

What about having SL missions that are nerfed versions of the actual ones? Reduced difficulty, reduced payout, no SL specific mat and/or no access to the Sanctuary alchemy platform, token gains scaled back to normal. Let players experience the story behind the lairs first-hand without actually giving up the key draws they're supposed to have.
