What is your favorite weapon and why?

For me, I say my favorite weapon of all time in the game would be the Winmillion (and wish it would be a 5* sword later on! If so, I will spend real money on this game just for that. I AM SERIOUS 3-RINGS! You want my money? Then develop a 5* Spur sword! (Your the gods of this game! =D ) Its no fair that the cutter/calibur series gets a 5*, and spur series only gets a 4* =( ).
Why? Because it seriously does a lot of damage compared to those nooby avenger and faust weapons (If you combine speed and tactics, that is), and the speed and damage seems appropriately balance when it comes to fighting monsters. It is not too weak like the Cutter series, and its not to slow either, that could leave you defenseless when swinging a heavy weapon. When combined with a silversix + swiftbucker, your like a god!

I don't understand why not to many people like it, maybe because they don't know how to control its power. But I do, I know how to control its awesome power! >=D If someone here likes the Winmillion as much as I do, awesome! If so, I could teach you some of my sword techniques, and you could teach me yours!

WINMILLION FOR THE WIN! WOOT!

Uh-huh.

I have Ascended Calibur soon to be Leviathan Blade, and it's my favorite sword. If there was a 5* brandish, maybe there'd be competition, but Spur line moves you around too much. You can control -where- you go, but you can't hold still, and there are many tight quarters where that just sucks.

Besides, Ascended Calibur's charge attack can do -thousands- of points of damage at a sweep, when you hit enough members of the crowd. Plus knockback. Can't crowd control like that with Winmillion.

Troika.

I'll represent for giant, hammer-headed blades. I'd really like 5* Khorovod equivalent, please.

Actually, better yet: 5* Hatchet.

Alright you primitive Gremlins. Listen up!

You see this? This... IS MY BOOMSTICK!! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Callahan! Basil's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department on the 23rd floor, and the recipe retails for about forty nine, nine ninety nine. Shop where stuff works, Shop Clockworks!

@ FlashbackJon & @Endgame

@ FlashbackJon: I bought the Khorovod just the other day recently. Lol! It wasn't a good transition for me as a Winmillion fan. :P I couldn't seem to handle the timing and patience that the sword requires you to master. But overall, I could see how this could be a great weapon if used correctly!
FlashbackJon, stick with your Khorovod! Continue to master it's potential use! Show those noobies who is the true pro, and show that you don't need the sealed sword series to take out your enemies the easy way out. It is all about skill! =D
Also, maybe you could teach me some of your Khorovod techniques and I could teach you some of my Winmillion techniques!

Hopefully someday, the 3-Rings devs would release recipes for the 5* Winmillion, and 5* Khorovod! ;)

@ Endgame: Spur series FTW! =D

What gun to go with the arc razor?

Hey guys, I'm a total noob for this game but I managed to buy an arc razor for 6 k from some random guy (this may have been stupid but hey a vendor was selling a spur for 7.5k so i thought it was a good deal)

Just wondering for what gun to go with to accompany my lovely arc razor? Not sure to be honest but was thinking a shadowtech alchemizer or a needle shot! Are any of these handguns good?

Either are good choices, Sparkster. Just keep in mind that resistances make your choices largely ineffective against some enemies while greatly effective against others. The wiki will offer up more info about those specifics.

Myself, I'm a fan of my faust.

I love you faust! *hugs his blade and gets cursed*

I personally dig these new Flourishes, honestly. Carving a neat swath through a pack of wolvers is simply too much fun.

Argent Peacemaker is neat, and I wish I had room in my current loadout for it.

Otherwise, Levi Blade.

Woot, I'm close to getting a Khorovod and I'm loving it! I'll admit the Troika line takes some skill to use, but once you get the hang of it they really put out! Plus they do normal damage and are good for hitting just about anything that comes at me!

I'm hoping they make a 5* Troika as well, and my brother uses a Winmillon too, so here's to a 5* of that!

Khorovod

@Quiiliitiila I loved the Troika in T1 and built it up all the way to Khorovod for T2. I like the range and the knockback, also appreciate the patience and calm that it takes to wield such a slow powerful sword. I really do hope they make a 5* version. Until that happens though, the Khorovod isn't practical later on in the game. Instead I've been forced to switch to Divine Avenger/Gran Faust since they go up to 5* and are similar to the Khorovod's style. The problem with Divine Avenger/Gran Faust is that they are not optimal for half the monster types so I always have to switch back and forth between strata or even sometimes carry both. Kinda makes me wish I hadn't bothered pursuing the Troika line since I never use it now.

Although I don't care for it personally, I agree with the others that the Spur line would benefit from a 5* version too.

Maybe Spur and Troika will get some love in the next Arsenal Expansion Pack.

Thanks for the advice, I think i'll go with Needle shot Feynt!

thanks for the tips Feynt, i'll go with the Needle shot i think for now, since i'm really getting into using bombs I figure i could use a needle shot to take out the last of them!

Anyone else think that the Spur and the Troika line are like brother and sister swords?
I mean it just makes sense:
Spur: mechanical, complex and speedy with three possible levels
Troika: Ancient, simple and strong with three possible levels!

Hey Jayjet, have you used the shadowtech Alchemer? Is the shadow damage useful in tier 3?

New favorite is the Combuster. Charge attack is great fun, same combo with relatively higher speed and more utility than Leviathan.

Final Flourish is also nice.

I'm not even tier 2 yet... at least fully

I'm not even tier 2. The Shadowtech to me is just a regular gun, cuz many of the monsters weren't affected by it. I prefer the Voltech, as when for some unfathomable reason I was sent to tier 2, it saved my knight from meeting a chilly end. I would not recommend the Shadowtech for tier 3, and I barely know what I'm talking about.

Hm...let me think...

I gotta go with the Master Blast Bomb and the Faust/Hunting Blade

The MBB can do hundreds of damage and is perfect for arenas.

The Faust...who wouldn't want the Jelly King's weakness?

And the Hunting Blade just for fun :3'

My favorite right now is the Calibur line + Magnus line

Calibur because it's pretty handy in most situations.

Magnus because it provides good crowd control, either it's knocking monsters on their butts, making them dodge away, or it's hitting them despite dodging. I also enjoy how fast it's shots go when it comes to picking off something outside of sword range.

Well I didn't do much in the

Well I didn't do much in the way of advice.

The shadowtech alchemer will do extra damage to one of the most annoying enemies in the game: Gremlins. In tier 3 the menders resurrect their fallen friends, do mass area heal fields, and can shield themselves with a high health shield that regenerates them. Obviously, killing them faster is better. It's useless against undead and pretty terrible against fiends too.

Opposite that you have the needle shot which roots you in place when you shoot. But as long as you know how to deal with that, it's a fairly strong piercing weapon. Bonus, it helps deal with wolvers (if you can land a hit) and fiends (phantom killers, love them graveyards. These are a vast store of heat and crowns) but it's useless against constructs (gun puppies, annoying to all) and jellies (but they don't matter honestly, and you don't use guns on the jelly king). Keep in mind also that trojans are fiends too, and in most situations when you can hit their weak spot the rooting of the autogun line doesn't matter.

@Feynt, but phantoms aren't

@Feynt, but phantoms aren't fiends, they're undead. Still, they're neutral to piercing, so that still works out.

I'm still working out what my favorite weapon is. For the longest time my favorite was the Khorovod line, because there's something pleasing in causing large amounts of damage in single hits, with incredible reach and swing.

At some point I switched over to 3 bombs and Khorovod, and for that I have a set of favorites (the Freezing Vaporizer line in particular is useful almost everywhere, but the Crystal Bomb line fills in a ranged slot quite nicely, and the Blast Bomb series means never having to fear soloing a Trojan).

Lately I decided to start playing around with special damage swords, and now I'm developing a fondness for the Brandish line that I didn't at all expect. Probably because the charge attack explodes.
