Prismatech alchemer?

As far as I can tell, the prismatech alchemer is the same as a cryotech alchemer but without the chance of freezing? Is there any reason to use it?

As far as I've read up,

As far as I've read up, Prismatech used to be used to make some of the tastier alchimers.
And it used to have a damage boost against the undead.

Sadly neither of these is the case these days.

No status...

As I understand it, no status is the "advantage" -- it just does plain elemental damage without potentially causing problems (mostly relating the elementally-themed lichens or other creatures).
