Since not many people wear shadow resist armor in PVP, the shadow and normal damage combined can be enough to kill someone in 2 hits depending on the armor. If someone is wearing jelly armor and is unaware of your presence, go for him, because jelly is weak vs. shadow.

The problem is hitting with an Acheron without a faster Flourish jabbing you between the ribs mid-swing.
Although, I've had great success via spamming the Acheron Charge, because that can kill a player with the swing and a few explosions, regardless of armor or trinkets. I find the Glacius is more fun though, because if you do manage to barely nick someone with an explosion, it'll freeze them solid (even Skolvers get frozen), allowing you to leisurely walk up to them and finish them off with another Glacius Charge at point blank range.

It's not an issue of 'jelly is weak against shadow'. This doesn't even come into the matter.
The thing is that barely anyone wears shadow resistant gear in LD. Most of the good fighters are wearing Wolver or Gunslinger line, depending on their weapon speciality - either that or Cobalt/Jelly because they're both cheap, and pretty much everyone packs a toothpick these days. The Magic line is also quite common - at one point it was pretty much mandatory, due to the Kilowatt spam in t2.
I have seen a few people with Skelly masks on, but these are few and far between. I've never even spotted a single Angelic helm.
Jelly is weak against shadow in PvE, but armour doesn't have 'weaknesses' so much as 'lack of protection for damage type'. The damage you do to a player in Jelly will be marginally more than that you'd do to a Wolver clone, but only because the normal damage protection and piercing damage protection values for it are reversed. The Nightblade line does half normal damage, hence the discrepancy.
Please... amend your post to be more correct, or we're going to have people asking whether Drake Scale would be good for LD, since it gets a damage bonus vs. the Wolver family.
