That's exactly what I did. Why should I give business to a seller who

1) withholds (whether intentionally or through ignorance) vital information about an item, and

2) is very rude to the person who--quite rightly!--points out this information?

Selling a Vatel item at above cost is borderline scamming. If I had done such a thing unintentionally, I would be apologetic and grateful to the person who pointed out my error. I would not rudely accuse them of "ruin[ing] my thread". Gorgotron didn't "ruin" your thread--s/he saved it from being a quasi-scam. You should thank him/her.

You make it sound like I'm just randomly going off on you. I'm not. I am responding to your uncalled for rudeness and sharp practice. Just because this is a trading forum doesn't mean this isn't still a forum, with all that implies; I am perfectly entitled to comment on your bad behaviour if I wish.

I'll admit it: I did have that thought. Why? Because of your response, which suggested to me that you'd rather people not find out. All Gorgotron said was this:

A simple, factual question, the answer to which is yes. You could just have said "Oh man, I didn't realise. Thanks for pointing that out." Any reasonable person would have readily inferred that it was an honest mistake.

Firstly Derprules is actually very trustworthy he gives good prices and has established a reputation. When someone is correcting you or pointing out something that may make you look bad, they are doing it for your reputation. In no way did he sa OH this guys is a scammer RED FLAG RED FLAG dont ever trade him. No that is not the situation. However your hostility towards it makes you look bad no need to get so defensive accept the mistake and move on. Your building an argument with no purpose which is digging you a deeper hole.

However I'm sure a lot of people are getting a great laugh out of this. When you're asking someone to step into your shoes and see how they would feel, you are asking them for their take on the matter. From what I know of Derprules he has a reputation and people know he isn't likely to be a scammer (Yes I know you said none of this im not talking you down). He would probably brush it off everyone starts somewhere and we all make mistakes like I said accept that you were wrong. No need to get hostile a simple "Oh, my bad i didn't know" would have ended the conversation a long time ago. Given your egotistical and narrow-mindedness you are incapable of realizing your hostility for the situation is completely useless. If your really hurt by a simple comment as such. I'm sorry grow-up there is are problems far greater than people pointing out your mistakes on a game.

On a final note: No one called you a scammer. Nor did anyone have intentions of ruining your post. It's a game there is no reason for you to be getting so worked up over it.

Final word to the wise (or not so wise): no one has made you "seem like a scammer" except yourself. I've seen many innocent mispricings on this forum, and many corrections of them. Yours is the only case where the mistaken party had a class A freakout when it was pointed out, though. Maybe there's a good reason why other people don't react this way? Food for thought.
