SK Bosses vs. other bosses: Who wins?

Suppose the bosses of Spiral Knights tried these matchups:

-A Roarmulus Turret (Spiral Knights) versus any of the Wily Machines from Mega Man. (If in doubt, go with Wily Machine 1. Or 9. 9 is cool.) Could any of the Wily Machine weapons pierce the Roarmulus Turret's heavy armor? Could the Roarmulus Turret aim and fire quick enough to keep up with the Wily Machine?

-Warmaster Seerus (Spiral Knights) versus any Fire Emblem boss. Obviously Seerus would rip apart the wimpy early-game bosses; we're not even considering them. But what about late game? His Rocket Hammer would count as an Axe in the Weapon triangle, while his Dark Retribution bombs would count as Dark in the Magic triangle; would this affect the boss's dodging, and would Seerus really care about the Weapon and Magic triangles in the first place? If so, that would definitely help Linus of FE7 with his Light Brand (a Sword (beats Axes) with a Light Magic special attack (beats Dark)). Would the battle be Spiral Knights based or Fire Emblem based? If the first, how do stats like Movement, Constitution, Skill and Speed translate to SK; if the second, what would Seerus's stats look like, and would his bombs have any range, or work like a Mine? Would Defense affect the Rocket Hammer's pure Elemental damage, or would it be solely based on Resistance?

If their armies fought, would the Gremlin technology prevail over the FE Boss's magi and flying troops? And how would statuses- Stun and Fire on Seerus's side, and Sleep, Berserk, Poison, and Silence on the FE side- factor in? If the boss used a poison weapon, would Seerus experience damage over time (the Fire Emblem poison effect) or weaker damage and healing immunity (the Spiral Knights poison effect)? Questions, questions...

Would the Royal Jelly tear up Giga Bowser? Would Lord Vanaduke survive a clash with Ganondorf? Who would win between the Snarbolax and the Lagiacrus of Monster Hunter Tri, or Pokemon's Arceus?

And shoot, I've only touched on Nintendo (Doc, you big ol' Nintendo geek, you); what about Sony's and Microsoft's nastiest bosses? How about other MMOs like World of Warcraft- would their own deadliest party-wipers pose a threat to Spiral Knights?

Feel free to ruminate further, but please don't start any cross fandom flame wars (Spiral Knights related or otherwise). And if this must go to Gremlin Chatter, let me know.

EDIT: Don't forget about Arkus, Razwog (when thinking of any famous early-game bosses), or Shadow Lair versions of bosses.

Well

Ganondorf, Arceus > Gods, so they would win, plotwise.

We don't know how strong is the Swarm, but it would make an interesting cosmic collision Giygas vs the Swarm. xD

Would Razwog,

Win in a fight against Alister Azmuth? Raz is slow, weak, but ali put up a fight against ratchet. Would Alister's weapon count as Ele/Shock? If he targeted Raz on the chest, would raz wog be insta killed? Does the Hoverboots act like a MSI High? Would Raz drop oil and light up similar to the Fire effect in ACIT(As log you are in the fire/lit oil, you get continuos dmg) or the SK(DPS per second after getting lit)?

Shadow Dragon:
My Frey (Paladin) Level 20
HP: 60
Str: 25
Mag: 17
Skl: 28
Spd: 25
Lck: 25
Def: 30
Res: 25
Sword: A, Lance: B (Almost A)

Him vs Seerus? Let's just say my Frey took down the entire end of the final level, including the boss, with very minimal damage. On the final boss, he could strike twice at a distance with the one of the legendary lances (I forget the name). Poor Medeus.

If vanaduke finds a better place to fight, without water around, hes technically invincible. Unless his mask is also vulnerable to spits.

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS

@Pokenuevo: That's crazy. Seerusly, how many Stat+ items did you give to Frey? Yes, since he's on horseback, he would definitely stand a chance against Seerus. (The lance is called Gradivus... it was throwable. What fun! 5* for sure.)

@Kraanx: YES.

@Juances: Yes, I suppose that's boss arena stupidity at its finest.

Royal Jelly isn't going to do

Royal Jelly isn't going to do anything to normal Bowser, much less Giga Bowser.

Ganondorf gives Vanaduke a Triforce-powered sword to the face.

No, boss arena stupidity at its finest is the Roarmulus Twins. Rotate one 90 degrees and both are invincible.

Is World of Warcraft willing to pay a Shadow Key?

Arceus vs. Snarby: I'm going to go with Arceus, mostly because he can hover (in the anime, at least) and thus either tire out Snarby or make him lose interest. Snarby vs. Ganondorf (since they're both nigh-invincible) would be more interesting. On a side note, if it's any loud noise that disarms Snarby's invincibility, then Arceus could spam the move Hyper Voice and win that way.

Roarmulus Twins lose to anything with mobility (they probably have an exposed joint somewhere), but would probably beamspam everything slow enough to come under fire to utter destruction (except maybe mirror-based enemies. Megaman has those, right?)

The Royal Jelly would lose to Bowser's fire breath, but would likely be devastating to conventional armies (Bullets, arrows, almost every non-mace/morning star/club -based melee weapon does at least partial Piercing damage). Boss-to-Boss, he's pretty weak. Boss-to-army, he has crazy survivability and a Silkwing could possibly keep him alive indefinitely if it hides in his crown.

If Ganondorf doesn't have water at his disposal, Ganondorf vs. Vanaduke is a stalemate. If he does, he wins. I'd like to see something like Vana vs. Groudon, where the opponent has a non-water method of removing fire. Groudon, for example, can use soil/rocks to suffocate the fire, and then sit on the mask with his massive weight.

@Selenium:

VANA VS. GROUDON. YES. And yeah, Royal Jelly against a CoD army, or a Fire Emblem army without Dark Mages, will kick (deleted). Although the Nightblade isn't a Morningstar/Mace/Club and it isn't partial Piercing... but who cares, they don't have that. And yes, that was a poor example- Bowser would roast Royal Jelly.

and @Rawr: Obviously! Any WoW character famous enough to get to fight a character IN ANOTHER GAME is a CELEBRITY. They are probably CRAZY RICH. Besides, if not, Blizzard would pay 5 bucks easily, for a chance to say their boss is stronger... maybe.

On a side note, wouldn't it be hilarious if Nick or Eury posted here?

Various bosses in a showdown... SSB style

Jelly King + Snarby + Vana VS. Master Hand + Crazy Hand + Metal Mario?

Let's try a different one...

All of FSC vs. Bowser Jr.'s airship

Snarby vs. Tiny (Crash bandicoot)

Roar Twins vs. Neo Cortex or N. Gin

Vana vs. Thug Leader (Planet Snivelak of Rachet and Clank Going commando)

Snarby vs. Mutant Protopet (Same game as above, Last boss)

Softhead's picture
Softhead
I've been ignored....

Anyway,

Snarby will DOMINATE that mutant Protopet. With or without R.Y.N.O II, I don't die once compared to Vox, Tachyon, Azmuth and several other bosses.

Equal match for Vana and Thug Leader? I mean, Sure the robot is GIANT, sure to only weapon that can dmg it does minimal dmg(Ryno), and Vana should have the ability to summon enemies unlike the mech. Then again, the mech is twice the size of the Giant Clank. So I think due to armour vs power, this should be a hard battle. Though Vana should win if a wimp like Ratchet(I don't mean no harm!) could beat the mecha, Vana should due to his demonic powers and wide array of abilities.

Skold-The-Drac's picture
Skold-The-Drac
Mutant proto's ignored.

Tohru... I don't know Vox, Tachyon, or Azmuth...

Mutant Protopet has one thing going for it though... it summons it's own army... not to mention the sheer rate at which protopets multiply. Snarby is lone, apex predator.

Vana and Thug Leader... I don't honestly know... I see Thug roughing up vana extremely easily due to the sheer size of that mech. But... Vana would indeed have the ability to develop some slags...

Ratchet required help... of serious firepower and a war machine. Vana's got a mace and an army of mindless undead. Granted his mask has some power/he has some of his own powers... but I'd foresee a long battle between the two menaces.

Love how instantly the R.Y.N.O. is brought about when Ratchet's involved.... such an insane weapon. i miss playing that game.

What parameters do you set?

What parameters do you set? Because each game has it's own thing that makes it unique and not really comparable to eachother. Also what game will each battle be set in? that will change the battle alot.

Also Seerus would get destroyed by the fire dragon at the end of the game, but who would not? It has 40 defence and resistance (10 higher than base stats can go), 120 health(60 higher than base) and a 3 square attack range(I forget the rest of the stats for dragon...if i remember correctly he might have had negate defence/resistance also but idk). Also any end game druid with a luna would kick his ass (luna is so op). In the first final room the only hard people are the Linus and the nomad and they would deffinatly kill him. Though this is all in the fire emblem world. I think the dragon would still kill him in sk but no too sure about much else, it's too hard to say about anyone else though, without stats and how they convert it's too hard to tell.

How do you kill a vampire?
Well first you take the stake and you put it through his heart and then you bash him on the head and cremate him and the sun and and and-

No. Any way you want to.

They are ideas, and pairing them up out of context can be bent any way you feel like. The scuttlebots can be made to take on bowser, and jigglypuff can be made to destroy vanaduke, depending on what angle you take on it. The truth of the matter, is that in the end they are all different in every realization. If jigglypuff's sing is effective on vanaduke, then we can kill vanaduke using sleep. If it isn't, and vanaduke can out-speed and smash jigglypuff, it could end that way very quickly. It doesn't matter. Kind of like in Super Smash Bros Brawl- Even things such as whether there are smash balls and items can have a colossal effect on who beats who and who wins. If you have a pairing like olimar vs ROB for instance- you can argue that ROB is better due to his recovery, his ability to deal damage at a distance and his overall ability to take advantage of Olimar and his pikmin, who are almost helpless when it comes to fighting. Throw in final smashes- even if ROB gets the smash, it sucks, and little is gained. Olimar on the other hand has an amazing final smash that if used correctly would easily KO ROB.

The bottom line, is that there is no true answer. Its all just apples to oranges.

Actually, I did a little file hacking & used some programs & I was able to make the CPUs fight each other. It's on my latest YouTube video, I put Snarbolax to fight with the Royal Jelly in a funny sequence.

Re: This topic

@Fehzor
These kind of things work best if every character has ALL the possible techniques. Since we don't know the optimal vs. Vana moveset for Jigglypuff, we should go more of a "what is a Jigglypuff physically capable of doing" route (example: since Sing has a 55%-ish accuracy rating in Pokemon and takes one turn, I would assume that it takes about as long as the audio clip associated with it and only works 55% of the time, before applying evasion modifiers).
@Kitty-Softpaws and Tohru-Adachi
Well played, good sirs (or madams, if that's the case).

Something I'm interested in is the bosses armies fighting against each other. Snarby would have absurdly large wolver packs, the Royal Jelly would have jellies and lichens, RT would most likely be nothing more than Gremlin ROFLstomp siege cannons surrounded by a large Gremlin army (with Menders. That revive would be... interesting), Seerus would have a similar situation, and Vana... infinite respawn undead... *shiver*

Eh, why not?

Razwog Vs Azimuth: Azimuth easily. Raz is just a grunt in the Gremlin army, while Azimuth's got the training and equipment to hold his own against Seerus in a one on one fight.

Don't have a lot of time right now, so I"ll add more details to these later:

Vanaduke vs Lord Gwyn
Roarmulus Twin(s) Vs Rex and Ray(s)

so diablo would beat everyone
but i think its interesting

Schemer Rezwog would be a

Schemer Rezwog would be a fair match against early-series Dr. Robotnik/Eggman. But if we're talking about the more menacing later-series version, Warmaster Seerus would be having to make the tough call to fight or ally with him!

Royal Jelly is a unique boss that uses a combination of minions and direct attacks in equal proportion, and heals considerably using the minions. It used to be a lot more menacing, too... As it is, it's just mini-boss material--but in a beefed-up form? Let's see how it deals with Malkill from the old NES Wizards and Warriors game!

God-King's picture

Okay, just no. Vanaduke

Okay, just no.

Vanaduke versus Groudon or Ganondorf? It's not exactly a fight when the former can level islands and the latter froze the entire Zora's Domain more or less instantaneously. Which is nothing to say of the whole resistance to anything that's not divine. Vana gets curbstomped either way.

Then again, Snarby against Arceus is about as silly. It's Snarby, in a fight against the literal god of a series. One who effortlessly defeated the beings who represented the laws of the universe. Seriously, what?

Bowser, fighting the Royal Jelly. The same Bowser who walked off falling into a mountain-sized star. I'm inclined to say that the Royal Jelly doesn't have that kind of destructive capacity. Oh wait, this is Giga Bowser we're talking about, who's even stronger.

Gigaderp
