so i have a night blade in which i am going to sell, and im gonna get a faust real soon, and im wondering what brandish should i get? and please note that a shock brandish is proboly out of the picture since i dont like doing LD alot. just tell me what you think i should get for tier 3 and why.
What brandish type should i focus on for tier 3?

and actually i wont get faust and choose acheron over it. im gonna choose the combuster because it just looks cool to put 5 enemies on fire, and it has the best dpm of the three swords

Now hold on...
I would actually get the Glacius if your going for T3 since I'm assuming your trying for FSC. Combuster will do squat in fsc since almost every enemies is either resist the fire status or are on fire themselves. Glacius will help you out a lot more on the long run allowing for easier crowd control and also letting you do second hits on mobs since the charge attack can also refreeze enemy that get hit by your first charge attack.

Combuster still out damages
Combuster still out damages glacius in fsc, forcing enemies to ride each explosion. Glacius stops them from riding explosions. In terms of damage output at once with the charge, combuster still wins.
If you want to argue utility over damage, think about how much damage bonus you have and the health of the monsters you normally fight. I don't own either swords, so my examples are hypothetical:
Say the combusters will kill in one charge because monsters ride all the waves. The glacius will not because it requires you to charge again. If the combuster does enough damage to reduce number of hits required to kill, combuster is better. But if the number of hits required are the same, glacius could be more useful in holding enemies in place to charge again.
But one can also argue that with an experienced player, the freeze is not required since one can simply herd while charging shots anyways. It all depends on what status you prefer.
Ignoring acheron and voltedge, you have combuster and glacius. Overlooking regular attacks, of which they are all the same, Combuster is straight up, most up front damage brandish charge. It also has the most damage over time. A glacius on the other hand, is heavier on the crowd control, freezing enemies on its charge. This allows you to deal with other enemies, or charge up and hit them again.
Combuster: Most damage, fire status
Glacius: Freezes. Not as much damage as combuster because the freeze stops enemies from riding the whole wave.
