I wrote a few rhymes, so I decided to post them!
-
I didn't think it fit the Microfic criteria for a story... but oh well. I kept it...

A duke of old made here to stay,
Vana's the name, as bright as day.
A heart of night and filled with blight,
A curse lit his kingdom with a burning light.
Bound to suffer, living to die,
the monarch's hope was lost in cry.
Dowsed in shadowy fire,
h'cannot feel but anguish and ire.

Any comments?

Nice :P

Do you make rhymes a lot? 'Cause that one was really good and it would make quite a change to see a thread about rhymes.

The gremlins worked from day to night
to build the architect's horrendous sight
that when they had completed and they finished
they would see the Spiral down, diminished.

Their machines roared aloud;
blow, they do, steams and cloud.
The rebellions soon would end
yet wanted to find their enemy their friend.

Yet the darkness came and swirled
to scatter the gremlins across the world.
Time was up, they ran to run.
Now the timer was down to one.

That's the time we came,
for the world's destruction, gremlins we blame.
Also we adhere them for creation,
for marvelous machinery and arming station.

We try to smite them almost like beast
yet it's them who damage the least.
Blind we are to darkness that lingers
that act to us as ring leaders.

We stop the construction once it's done
for them to come to destroy every one.
We're the cause for our end, you see.
We are but the Shadow's glee.

The architect's but a corrupted being
such as like the furious old king.
To destroy us, he wanted; to end him, we too,
But they are not our end; we actually don't know who.

We're like them, the pioneers
to rid the world of great fears.
Yet we fight who can be friends;
we're creating our own dead ends.

Find the truth, we must,
even if gremlins we trust,
to fight what's evil for good
lest we die in failure. We could.

We landed on a distant world
it's not earth, nor Mars, nor Whirl'd.
Cradle we called it, holder of new;
On surface we saw dangers, a few.

We could only say, once under,
that our efforts were but a blunder.
This happiness we found
could render us all disaster-bound.

First we found angry builders,
attracted to all that glitters.
With wrenches they fought
and robots, which burned and shocked, they brought.

Their minions, the robots, blasted and shot
to the point our fighters, fight could not.
They clinked and clanked all their way
but finally we stopped them and they shoo'd away.

Later we found what could be food
only to notice, they're aliens, all goo'd.
The swished and sloshed their bodies around
to fight and move- doesn't matter, they're on the ground.

We haven't met anything like these strange beasts
they angry, yet cute, but looked at us as feasts.
They bit and fought to chase us out
of their dark, roarsterous dugout.

Then we found enemies and undead, 'didn't know which
yet with shadow and stapler, they were disaster-rich.
We ran and ran from their devilish faces
as they came from graves and underground places.

So we learned that there are enemies a ton
so we built weapons like Brandish, Magnus, and Graviton.
Yet unprepared we were for the shadow below,
a darkness today we barely know.

Those aren't small. Those are

Those aren't small. Those are pretty big. :/

I has my own! :D

BALLAD OF THE SWARM

In years gone past, in times forgotten,
The God came fleeing, his brothers gone rotten.
A pact was made, as was a trade,
A fortress for him, in exchange for a kingdom.

To storm of darkness, this world must fall,
Unless they come to save us all.
Foes at first, but friends at last,
Closer comes, the Knights of Spiral

Enter the Clockworks, enter your doom;
Inside lays many a brave man's tomb.
To the Core, peace once restored,
Then face the Swarm, not what, but who?

The King, the Queen, the Beasts, the Gourd,
The Slime, the Hounds, the Mare, the Lord.
Awakened together, united by power,
Closer comes, closer the Swarm

Standing talll, their swords held high,
Some will live, many will die.
But in battle that day, one side shall be slayed,
And this world shall rise, or it shall die.

Turn to face the oncoming storm,
Forces united, a planet reborn.
Fight fire with fire, the time is dire,
Beware, beware, the coming Swarm.
