Sudaruska really suck. It's my biggest regret by far. The looks are great, but it's output damage is terrible and whats worse, it feels dumb, feels wrong and not fun to use it. I think this weapons still need some tweaks. Either make it more fun to play, or improve it's damage output.

It has the same damage than a divine avenger against neutral targets, plus a status.
It follows the same logic than a Leviathan, having the same damage as a 5* brandish on neutral targets.

It's a normal damage weapon with a status. Damage wise looks fine.

The Sudaskra is a Good weapon, it does the same damage as the Divine avenger or the Gran faust against neutral targets. Its Stun is very useful.

been through this all before

According to the Lancer Knightz data (comboing as fast as possible, against a single enemy, with ASI: Medium), a 5-star Brandish does 396 DPS against a neutral enemy, while Sudaruska/Triglav does 270 DPS. Or, to put it another way, Brandishes combo faster and do more damage per combo. Of course, Sudaruska has better width, length, and knockback, so you can sometimes do lots of damage by hitting multiple monsters at once.

Suda/Trig also does less damage-per-combo and DPS than DA/GF against neutral enemies, although the DPS difference is not quite so extreme as with the Brandishes. And the width, length, and knockback is just as good on DA/GF as on Suda/Trig.

The only real advantage of Suda/Trig is the damage on the first hit. If you're doing a one-stroke play style, and you're using one sword against all monster families, then they could be viewed as decent swords. Otherwise, they are best described as "weak but fun".

I'm the expert around here.

Yes. The suda sucks.

It does not have anything over a DA, does not deal stun on normal combos, and is slower.

  • Damage Per Second it is 19.2% WORSE then a Gran Faust.
  • Gran Faust deals a Status on second hit, Suda does not.
  • Gran Faust is Faster, and safer; Suda is not.
  • The Suda's Damage per second and Safety if you are only using the first swing is 12% worse then a Gran Faust, and less safe due to being able to knock them away faster, and GTFO faster.
  • The only reason People seem to think that a troika has more range is due to it being slow. Because it is slow, by the time that the Hitbox FINALLY rolls around to deal damage, a monster after your armor just happens to wander in. It is FAR to easy to just charge-Dash into a group of monsters or one monster and get the second hit to work amazingly with a GF or DA.
  • The only reason to use a Suda is against Fiends and undead. Even then, a GF is Faster, and with half normal damage, it only takes what, one or two more hits to take down something. It is Safer to just use a DA or a GF ANYWHERE.
  • You know? It sucks. Normal damage sucks. There is barely any reason to use the weapons and gear that are not optimizer and OP. In fact, there is no reason to use the Average gear.

I really want to change this, but no one really seems to care. They just write it off as some hipster crap and ignore it. Its getting pretty exhausting.

    ...

Heh, whatever. I prefer, actually, my Sudaruska over the Gran Faust, personally. First, it was the main reason I made this knight (yes, the story is told again). Second, It gracefully saves my newbie friends from being smashed by another Lumber without costing me or my friend's health. But it does lack the hit damage. I love it for just making that HUGE explosion to scatter the enemies in stun. However, I would rather not use the normal attack...

...and this is why I have the triglav...

Some pros to the troika lines:

-Lots of knockback on swings and charge
    -Looks amazing
-Great for derping around in t1 and t2 (best when it is at 5* version)
-Great for raging in LD (when you know there's no hope left)
-Great for pretending to be a noob- and then you pull out the giant SUDAA or TRIGLAAAV

ASI makes it much more usable/ fun. (Get vog and a swiftstrike buckler for that)

In the mean time... Devs, how about that 3rd Shock troika?

    Troika line works wonders on

Troika line works wonders on RJP when soloing or going with a partner, the charge attack can kill almost any slime in one hit. So I kite around bit and lure them into my killzone, then unleash the charge, more or less killing them all. Works well with graviton vortex too!

    Well

Well, it is worse in comparison to the other swords, but it feels less bad if you use the charge attack. Before, the then-final-version Khorovod had a charge attack with more damage potential than the current Sudaruska (3-4 separate hits from rocks that surrounded you - if you 'missed' near an enemy, you could deal heavy damage. The Khorovod charge used to total around 1.2k damage on Vanaduke - with NO damage buffs). The charge got nerfed (single hit, cosmetic rocks) when Suda/Trig came out, and recently got buffed back up again when they gave it a double hit. It's weaker than the original Khorovod, but Sudaruska's still way better than it was on first release.

    @Tsudaruska:
The graphic for Suda/Trig are larger than the Divine Avenger/Gran Faust, so it's easier to match the feeling of how large their hitbox is.
DA/GF LOOK shorter, so people tend to use it at less-than-optimal distance and thus think feel they're shorter range. In reality, their hitboxes are the same size :x

    hooray for uuni

    My suggestion for troika line:
-Increase range to match the visuals + slightly more (due to lag)
-Increase damage to be in par with sealed sword line on neutral targets
-Make the swing arc match the visuals, atm it's more narrow than it looks

    Well...

The charge can stun... thats it.

    As to the swing pattern...

Make the Combo SIMILAR to a Hammer's:
The wonderfully wide swing of the hammer's first and second swing, slightly stretched to match its graphics.
The speed should be the same, but add a slowed down dash that only goes 1/3 of the length and has one hit. According to my calculations, it would have to be around 101 damage on d24 to match the Sealed sword's DPS. If the Little dash takes .3 secs (Med ASI) the damage would have to be 192.

You know what? I'm gonna go Put this in the suggestions.
