Question about stratum related drops.

So as we all know, rare equipment drops only appear in a stratum related to it (Ex: Fire stuff in FSC). I am still going insane over finding a Darkfang Shield. I do tier 3 gremlin stratums non stop. My question is: If there is a gremlin arena (Wrench Warfare) in a non-gremlin stratum, do you think it still has a chance of dropping a darkfang?

And I'm pretty sure you get the shield drop from treasure boxes. So big decon zones and arenas are probably your best bet. Is it proven that gremlin areas increase the drop rate though?

I got dusker coat,drake scale
I got dusker coat,drake scale helm and suit on JK. it might be about stratum (all of them grant piercing defense)
I'm pretty sure it depends on the level, not stratum.
