So i bought the battle pack, got 2 solstice boxes. I got the summer crown, sold it for 1,000,000 and 400ce. Now i've no clue what im gonna do with the money. What do you think? im only on 5-2 so there isnt much to buy, suggest some good weapons? Im getting my dusker set and a good shield. Should I save up? or try to work on some good 4-5 star stuff?

-Also having 1,000,000, should I try my luck at another solstice box for another item so i can make another 1,000,000?

don't know about solstice boxes

The official announcement that accompanied today's update tells you the probabilities of getting each prize from the Solstice Box. The probabilities for the Crowns are not very high (3% total), so you got lucky.

For us to tell you what else you could spend your money on, we'd have to know what interests you. For starters, you could tell us what your weapon profile is: In a typical loadout, how many swords do you use, how many guns do you use, and how many bombs do you use? (Notice that the answers must add up to either 2, 3, or 4, depending on how many weapon slots you use.)

Weapon details

well, i use a cutter, the auto gun thingy, no bombs, im getting the bristling buckler, if thats the name. And well i wanna work on the wolver sets. Thats about it, I do want maybe some volcanic wings or maybe a shadow or prismatic cat tail, but that would take alot out of the budget.

Wolver armour is almost

Wolver armour is almost always for swordsmen, so perhaps a calibur, elemental/shadow brandish, or the sealed sword lines might interest you. Sealed swords are a boss token reward, which means you can use your money to buy from someone or just farm rjp yourself.

You could always get started on different armour sets, such as gunslinger and demo suits. Mist bombs with status such as fire, freeze, and shock could be of use to you.

Really, just work on what you want, and then come back with what you want your playstyle to be like.

Gun or 2 swords?

Yes, i just changed my pic, but looking at how the wolver armor is meant for swordsman, should i get rid of my gun and have 2 swords? i use my gun quite frequently, couse i could always get a weapons slot upgrade. Also do you think I should go with the bristling buckler? If i keep going to get my zarby set, then the bristling buckler looks great when its upgraded to the dark thorn-like shield. I dont think i would need an accesory until i have some armor im gonna stay with, once I do have some permanent armor i might get an accesory or 2, then work on another set.

The autogun is very good

The autogun is very good later on for the "end-game" content (FSC), but for now you should let it collect dust in your inventory (do not resell it, you would have to buy it later).

You can either go for a 2 swords setup, in which case you should take 2 specialized swords (piercing + elemental, piercing + shadow or elemental + shadow, see the wiki damage page to choose which families you don't care not having bonus against) or for a 1 sword + 1 support gun, in which case the best are either piercing sword + elemental gun or normal sword + elemental gun. The autogun makes a very bad support gun, it's really only useful for FSC if you are not primarily a gunner.

Taking a weapon slot upgrade would allow you to have the best of both worlds : 2 swords + 1 gun. Or 3 different specialized swords, whichever suits you best.

The bristling buckler is the best offensive shield for swordsmen, because of the sword damage bonus on it. Experienced swordsmen often use it as their only shield. But if you find yourself with a shield broken too often, you may want to get a more defensive shield while getting better.

For specific sword choice, see Bopp guide, I am sure he is going to tell it in his next comment.

just to satisfy Fradow

Just to satisfy Fradow, here is my link, with some others:

Dexbot-Elite, you're right that a sword+sword loadout would make good use of your Wolver armor. But to me that's not a good reason to choose sword+sword. If you want to use sword+gun, then do so, and get armor that works for it, and wear Wolver as a costume if you like its looks.

For a sword+gun setup, here are some armor ideas. You could mix one piece of Wolver and one piece of Gunslinger. You could use Chaos Cloak/Cowl. You could use Armor/Crown of the Fallen (but I don't really recommend that). You could use Barbarous Thorn Shield (or its low-star versions) to further improve your sword offense. Or you could use Swiftstrike Buckler to improve both sword and gun offense, but at the cost of having a really bad defensive shield.

Elemental, Shadow, or piercing?

I am considering im gonna replace my gun with another sword, but which is better, piercing, shadow, or elemental? if it is elemental should i go for ice fire or poison, ect. of course i can only choose 2 out of the 3, considering my weapons slot, suggestions for weapons would be nice

Processing Thoughts of You Always

Piercing swords would be a good idea, since piercing guns are either difficult to use or do relatively low damage (Needles stick you in place, Magnuses have two-shot clips, and Antigua is the only piercing gun in its line). I would recommend an elemental sidearm to take out turrets, but this is entirely your choice.

If you don't want that, and you can't have both shadow and elemental swords, I would go for an elemental sword for the time being, since two out of four bosses are weak against it and only one resists it... but the best option would be to get one of all three types so you can mix and match as the situation requires.

With regards to the Brandish lines, I would prefer Combuster, although that's because I like the pure damage (I normally use a Divine Avenger, though). It's entirely your decision as to whether you find shock, fire or freeze most useful.

sword+gun or sword+sword?

If you want to go sword+gun, then I agree with Aureate that piercing sword with elemental gun is probably the best option.

If you want to go sword+sword, then get any two of piercing, elemental, shadow, as I explain in my sword guide. If this is too vague for you, here are two concrete plans:

* Get a piercing sword and a shadow sword. Later, when you get a third weapon slot, you could put an elemental gun in it. Then you'll have a very versatile and powerful setup. (Or put an elemental sword in it.)

* If I were starting a new two-sword knight from scratch today, he would use Final Flourish and Combuster. Nothing else is needed in the game, even in the first four levels of FSC. (Admittedly there are better weapons for Vanaduke himself --- for example, Blitz Needle, which comes from your Autogun.)

Notice that Aureate's plan and my plan do not make use of your Cutter. That's because normal damage is not as good as non-normal damage used on the correct monsters. Also, based on your comments you may be confusing damage types with status effects; read the wiki pages "Damage" and "Status effect" if you need clarity.
