Or, you can keep

Or, you can keep it.

Personally, because I have almost all of the 5* gear I want, every now and then I will save up and reward myself with a Silver Key and open an Iron Lockbox that I find :3, of course this is like once a month, and for old players and not new players that are still in need of gear.

But since you are not at that 5* stage yet, I agree with Aureate, you will find others in the future once you get to a point that you have the gear you want, so I suggest selling it on the Auction House for about 5,000 crowns (as they are going at time of post).

Rangerwill / Impostowill /

Rangerwill / Impostowill / Trying since I am fairly sure you are the fake one (someone correct me if I am wrong)

You must be new here Rangerwill-not-x :)

700 CE is indeed quite a lot for new players, and they aren't used to the standard price. You know. Since they are new.

@RangerwillFAKE

Perhaps, but the price of silver keys in cr is exorbitantly high for a F2P who hasn't been around that long.
Last I checked it was verging on 50k plus, which is out of reach when you're starting...

Don't open the lockbox. Most of the time, you can buy the vast majority of accessories that you would want from a lockbox, for the price of the key and lockbox.

The average lockbox accessory (that looks nice) is about 20k to 50k crowns. The exceptions are the accessories that pop up like 0.1% of the time, and sell for several hundred thousand.

Is there a list of the possible contents of both regular and mirrored lockboxes?

@Happyknightice: That's terrible advice, given the lockbox odds. Pay 50k for a key, and get a Headband worth under 5k in return? Seerusly.

@Thich: The regular lockboxes give all standard accessories, I believe - no mission reward crests or promo accessories (pumpkin bomb bandoleers, parrying blades, valkyrie wings etc). I'm fairly sure that standard wings aren't included either, but I'm not entirely sure. You also have a chance of getting a Shadow Key, although this is pretty low. The best you could probably get from a regular lockbox would be Prismatic/Volcanic Vertical Vents, Wolver Tails, Scarves or Flame Auras. More often than not, you'll end up with a Dusky Barrel Belly or Maid Headband, though.
Mirrored lockboxes have height modifiers (extra tall and extra short) as well as all the non-standard eye modifications (spiral, dot and so forth). I think there might also be the option of parrying blades, although I could be wrong.
There's probably a conclusive list posted on the wiki somewhere.

I also seem to remember OOO doesn't give the odds of receiving a certain item from a Lockbox...

It's a big able to Open a box. It's better to sell them when prices go back up (if there's any chance). If you get a key for free, I think you can sell that for more money. However, players love a gamble. Sometimes it IS worth it. If you get a key for free then you may sell to be safe or try it out! Otherwise, sell it to the Auction House or someone who wants to try their luck.
