2 Common Ways of Making Money while out of Mist Energy

One thing that you might not like is the whole mist energy thing, and how you cannot continuously make money and get rich since it takes 14 minutes to regenerate one energy.

Yes, you are limited to doing missions while you do not have enough energy, but that doesn't make you limited to not being able to make some pocket change.

NOTE: The below is mostly for making pocket change while a new player is either A. Waiting for mist energy to recharge, or B. Trying to buy more energy to do more missions. This is not even close to a get rich quick scheme, none of these are, they are just commonly known ways that you can make pocket change with some left-over crowns.

Number 1. Making some money off of the Auction House. This is what I would first suggest to you. Of course, I have little secrets that I cannot give out to everyone because those little secrets will really get you some pocket change; this is only the basic idea. I will make you do the rest and work for it and learn some things about the market on the AH :)

The Auction House is a burden to lazy players. Many players are like "Wait.. seriously? To put on this material and make 40 crowns from it, I have to pay a 36 crown transaction fee which means I have a chance to lose that if my auction expires??" They are like, no thank you! And that is why materials get stocked up in players' inventories.

One easy way to get some pocket change is to take advantage of the lazy. The lazy will always be lazy oafs. Ain't nothin' wrong with taking advantage of that, is there? /inb4 "OMG I HAS MORALS"

The first way to do so is to buy cheap and sell high. Specifically with materials. People are always getting materials, and you just need to find out which ones this works best with. Look at the auction house, and find a material that this would be desirable to do with.

The process of buying the material is easy, and it is not by the auction house. Remember how I said players have these materials stocked up in their inventory? That is money just waiting for you. Using the auction house will not contact them directly, and using the auction house to find low prices is inefficient. Go to a fairly crowded Haven, and advertise the material you are buying, and at what price by simply saying it in chat. This price is going to be under the auction house price for a good two reasons. 1. lazy players don't check the auction house, and 2. lazy players get the convenience of not having to put the material up on the auction house. Remind them this if they complain.

Then, once you have bought the material from the lazy for cheap you can place it on the auction house and sell it for a reasonable price + where the price of those materials are currently at. Now who in the heck will be buying those materials off of the auction house? More lazy people, not willing to ask around for materials for cheaper. They want it "Now!" so they use the auction house to buy materials.

Another thing that lazy people do a lot is put things on the auction house with low bid prices. Other people that will do things such as put stuff for 1 crown bid is if they aren't fans of being undercut and don't know the true value of the item. Search the auction house for these low bids, and try to see if you can win a few for cheap and then resell them for profit :)

Number 2. Playing with the CE market. The CE market is accessed by the small light blue button that looks not unlike a circle with a minus sign in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

Note: This will require at least 100 crystal energy, and you will not always be able to profit.

This is another fairly easy pocket change maker. It is also the ulimate pocket change maker, since you get such minimal profit. Regardless, it is a constant stream of profit, unlike playing with the auction house.

Basically, how the energy market works is that there are two buttons when you open it up: "Sell now" and "Buy now" buttons. This shows the current "best offer" (which isn't at all the best offer or your money's worth) in order to quickly buy 100 energy or sell 100 energy.

And who wants things "Now! Now! Now!"? The lazy. We get to take advantage of that, and hey, it was their choice for wanting their transaction to happen instantly!

There is also another way to buy or sell energy. This is by hitting the "market" tab. You can post offers manually to buy or sell energy, plugging in your own price, and how much offers. This is where the "Buy now" or "Sell now" buttons come from in the first place: the best offer in the market tab.

So the goal here is once again: Buy low, sell high. But before you do that, you have to find out if you will even make a profit!

Note that selling energy will have a 2% fee of crowns.

Get out your calculator, he or she is your best friend. And preferrably a physical, real one. The computer calculator isn't operated as easily and can distract you from watching the market.

Here are your simple and easy steps to find out if you will make a profit:

1. Plug in the desired number of crowns you are willing to sell your 100 energy for. This offer should be the cheapest / best available offer in the market by a few crowns, for those lazy people who hit the "Now!" button.

2. Take that number and multiply it by .02 (this is finding what 2 percent of that number is). This is how much crowns you will lose upon the transaction, the 2% crown fee of selling energy.

3. Take that small crown fee and add it onto the number of crowns that you are willing to buy energy for. This offer should also be the cheapest / best available offer in the market, for the lazy people who hit the "Now!" button.

4. Ask yourself: Is this number lower than my original offer to sell 100 energy? If no, then you will not profit. If yes, then you will make small profits.

Let's do an example. Let's say people are selling energy for 8720 crowns (note: this is not at all what people are selling energy for at time of post. This is just an example). People are buying energy for 8450 crowns.

We are going to list offers to sell at 8710 crowns and buy at 8460 crowns.

1. 8710
2. 8710 x .02 = 174.2
3. 174.2 + 8460
4. Final number is 8634.2. Is this less than our buy offer? Yes, it is! Yay for a small profit.

Then, you place the offer to sell your energy for 8710 crowns.

After it sells, you buy energy back for 8460 crowns.

And you made a profit of about 76 crowns. Pat yourself on the back!

Now, the reason I highlighted the word "about" is because of an important reason. Your offer might not be a static "8710" when you go to sell it. You might be undercut. If this happens, you may have to keep undercutting in order to get that lowest price.

You might have actually sold the energy for 8705 crowns, and bought the energy for 8468 crowns. The reason you should be fine doing this, is that those little amounts of crowns won't throw it off entirely and you will still be profitting, just not as much.

Eventually, the energy market's buy and sell prices will sway around, forcing you to use your calculator again. And sometimes... not even get you profit. You have to be quick the the calculator, always ready to find out what small profits you will make.

This does not work 24/7 and you will not always be able to profit.

If people can't be bothered

If people can't be bothered making 400cr on a rjp run that they don't have to think about, what makes you think they'll want to make <100cr for something that requires thought and attention?

Before they are even at the

Before they are even at the Jelly King point, they are given only like less than 1k crowns per 20-30 energy wasted on a mission.

Not every new player is a rank missions 5-2 new player.

Another pocket change item is the PvP. If you have some crowns, go play Blast Network or Lockdown and earn a few more.

Also, if you are not into crafting, use the few sparks you find to buy low end trinkets, and sell them to a vendor. Very much these are small fry pocket change.

Hmm, though if they lose 6

Hmm, though if they lose 6 games in a row, then... say... win 2 games:

1200 crowns lost from entry fee

400 crowns reimbursed from winning

= a total of about 1000 to 1100 crowns lost since you get like 280 ish crowns or something per win

then one enamorock since 6 losses and 2 wins = 10 tokens which goes for more than 1100 crowns? Haven't checked recently.

Eh, yeah. Maybe this is an ok way to get pocket change as well if you win a fair amount.

Lockdown ^.^

Not to mention, if you get lucky and people fill the tank, you get a chance at more tokens.

Although you can gain some

Although you can gain some minimal profits while playing with the market, you are effectively inflating the ce price which you will ultimately use crowns to buy in future. This will also make the crowns you have on hand worth lesser than before. The biggest winner when someone play the market is 3 rings from the 2% tax.

ermm So undercutting people

ermm

So undercutting people on the sell 100 energy side, and "over"cutting people on the buy energy side,

Won't those two cancel eachother out? xD

Number 3 You must have at

Number 3

You must have at least 20 energy for this to work. Sometimes 40. Go do an RJP run with a friend. Only do the first two levels. You will both get about 3k (Maybe. I haven't done RJP in a while, Don't know how much the payout changed. Oh and also, this works best if the market drops back down to 6k for 100ce). Your friend will give you his/her 3k. You go to the Energy trading/alchemy machine. Buy 100 energy.

Split it between you and your friend.

Now lets think. 20energy for 50 energy. Profit? PROFIT!

NOTE: You may have to do two RJP runs because of the increase in prices lately. But still; 40 energy for 50? PROFIT!

@Artistbma

You get a little bit more than 2k from rjp and the market is at 7k and above.

Number 4

Number 4

This may be something that you already do, but remember to dump off your minerals. When you do this, make sure you look in each gate, and try to find a floor that will let you trade in a mineral for 4 crowns (I haven't seen it go more than that). It's not much pocket change, but every little bit helps.

Exactly what I thought,

Exactly what I thought, Deomicsothe. This isn't a "ways to make money" thread, this is a "ways to make money when you have no mist energy" thread.

Pretty sure it's no longer profitable with CE, since crown drops from RJP got nerfed.
Don't do it.

Well

Why not use 40 energy and make 4k in all? Combine the two friends amounts and you have 8k! Buy 100ce. You get 50 each.

Boom.

Profit.

But still, its probably better to do the first 4 levels of FSC.

How do I get items to

How do I get items to actually sell in the GH? All mission rewards are bound :/
And I can't craft stuff, because that costs mist (for some reason?), and when I have enough mist to craft, I have enough mist to actually do a mission or something.

You are supposed to make/find stuff on your own to sell.

Yes, crafting costs energy. Yes, elevators also cost energy. This is entirely intentional. Otherwise there would be an equipment flood in the market, lowering values, and elevators cost energy to prevent an even greater flood of materials and crowns which would make all materials completely worthless and CE prices would easily surpass 100kCr:100CE within a few days. The energy system encourages casual gameplay if you do not plan to buy an elevator pass. Free to play and casual or premium and hardcore.

Oh I'm not knocking the system. It's just that as a new player... I don't like it when my mist runs out the game is like "Come back in 22 hours".

Meanwhile, can't get money to improve my gear.

Edit:
To clarify: I just don't like having nothing to do.

Which is why this thread exists, teaching people how to manipulate the market.

Personally, I play another game if I have nothing to do here. Something which does not have a significant feature based on a real time clock without being premium.

The point of reading a guide is to read it.

The first and fourth methods do not use energy.
