How do I?

Beat this thing called the snarbolax or whatever it's called,
I'm using my trusty hot edge but I can't seem to kill it,
I've been playing for awhile now and
I'm proud to say I have awesome
Armor from the proto
Armor to the proto gun
And my super trusty hot edge
But I still can't manage to beat snorlax or whatever his name is.
Please help me out here.

First of all, this belongs in the New Recruits section. That is the part of the forum for people new to the game to ask questions. (If you're still fighting Snarby, you're new enough to be posting there)
To kill snarbolax, you have to wait near the bell in the center. When he gets in close, you hit the bell to stun him. This drops his defenses. You can only hurt him when he is stunned. (you can tell if he's stunned by his color)

Yeah, you need to be using something that does piercing or normal damage, not elemental

To follow up on Princeberton: Read the wiki page "Damage", to learn the monsters' vulnerabilities and resistances. Then you will understand how the Snarbolax, being a beast, resists the elemental part of your sword.

Just tackled with snorlax but he still won't budge :(
Halp me out guise,
It seems that when I hit with my hot edge sword
It makes a clicking noise or something and the snorlax
Won't take damage :<

Since when was human decency the same as being trolled?
I don't view helping people as a waste of time. If he is indeed trying to waste people's time for no reason.... Well, the only way that such a form of trolling would succeed is if people stopped trying to help new players.
For now, I've given hints. If he needs help, he can take the initiative and follow our advice.... Or not. And if he's just a random attention seeker, then now the community knows to focus our energy elsewhere and mute him (in game and otherwise). Thanks for the tipoff!

All I'll say is that the problem is the proto gear. Try starting a new character and start reading everything, so you know how to equip new gear.

Well it is possible to get to tier 3
It is not a requirement to beat ANY of the bosses to get there. To help out once you press the party button in the snarbolax lair the boss will come out and chase your knight or party of knights. Next, make snarby do his biting attack. Then, lure Snarby into the center of stage where the beast bell is (when the bell's green you can hit it when it's red you can't or you can but it won't do anything when it's red). Last step is to hit the bell when it's green and when snarby is close to it. Then repeat the process. I also recommend carrying pierce damage type weapons.
EDIT We were all new to this. This is true for pretty much anything.
The wiki and new recruits forum are both helpful resources. In particular, the wiki contains a walk through for the boss fight.
Hint: your gear may not be the best choice. Your sword is especially problematic.
