I saw 3* vortex with med ctr for like 18k but someone was faster than me. I almost threw my mouse at the Buy Now button.
But what i usually do is buy low star items for like 200cr, only to NPC-vendor them at 300cr.

Hmm don't really use the AH much.. but a few good trades that I've gotten are dragon wings for 50kcr each, a few ctr/asi med weps for around 10kcr etc.
Outside of the AH, I've recently bough a Snowfall aura for 5.7kce and then traded that for a red rose set about 20mins after, which I sold for 55kce 2 days ago. ^.^

I never really had any good deals on the Auction House that I remember. I think it is because I don't use it since of limited of selection of things that are worthwhile. Let alone have to be bought from the auction house.

Freezing Vaporizer
I bought a Freezing Vaporizer CTR Med for somewhere between 60k and 80k cr. I think it was 60k, but I can’t remember. All the other CTR Med Vaporizers I had thrown crowns at ended up closing 2-3 times higher than that. So it felt like an amazing deal when I bought it.

SLEEP !!
I bought a Wolver Coat (or was it Cap, don't remember) with Sleep MAX for 3k cr. This was at the time when Sleep was still available through crafts. It was an open auction (no buy-now available), and 3k was the starting bid. Nobody else was interested, because you know, Sleep is quite useless in practice. At the time there was only one enemy that had Sleep attack, and it was VERY rare. Now they've removed even that.
Then I hold onto it like six months or so, during that time they removed Sleep from new UVs. Finally, I sold it for 10k ce, for a collector. I wonder how much it would be worth now? The amount of rich players has increased, and collector items are hard to get nowadays...
edit, just to recap:
Bought for - 3k cr
Sold for - 10k ce (which was about 700k cr at the time...?)
Profit - 697k
